The Oligarchs fall into two categories:

1. If you have access to the British Government you are deemed as a friend by Putin.
2. If you have taken money for your own personal gain, you are a traitor of Russia.

I wonder what category the Chelsea owner falls in, if it's the latter, he's fooked. <laugh>

I hope he is <whistle>

I don't know how you guise are keeping up with it all.

I really don't have the will to watch the endless amount of coverage on the news and other programmes.

I wouldn't mind if it was a straightforward account of the events, but bloody hell they're revelling in it.

I just switched on the news and they're doing a biography on Putin FFS.

FCK THAT bollox.

I'm only really catching up with it all now tbh. Got back from a trip on weds night, caught up with an old friend yesterday and just watching a bit of news this evening.

Crazy stuff really. I never thought we'd see war like this in Europe again. I think this one has got the potential to really spiral out of control.

Possibly mate, let's hope not though. I'm still of the feeling it'll go on for as long as Ukraine can hold out and then a couple of weeks after "mission accomplished" for Russia, the news channels will no longer be interested and those poor Ukrainians whose grief and misfortune they're piggybacking onto right now to hype up their own broadcasting will be forgotten about.

The problem with 24/7 news and now add to that social media (... is this the first major war with this much social media coverage???) is it just turns war into a bit of theatre. I'm going to avoid the channels and try and read it online where I can choose what to watch and read about it, hopefully without the added dramatic effects.

Check out Ground news mate.

It's a portal for over 4000 news channels and gives you a really good breakdown of the bias, political leaning, accuracy, fact checking, who owns the media corp etc

https://ground.news/

But yeah, 24/7 news coverage of the conflict can feel a bit too voyeuristic at times.

Just had a quick look at that. That's the kind of format I like, very straightforward. None of the ancillary ****e.

Yeah somebody switched me on to it the other day. Really good site and enables you to read news from a wide variety of sources without having to trawl through hours of online reading.

From 2:15 onwards is exactly what I'm on about <ok>

It's incredible that, that parody is actually accurate for nearly all wars since that was broadcast and still is today.

There is more , which I am sure you are aware of , but I can’t be bothered to post it right now . Slightly off topic , but IMHO , an utterly brilliant series !

When it first came out, it duped loads of folk into believing it was real

It was like nothing that had ever come before. Complete genius.

A friend of a friend said they thought KMKY with Alan Partridge was **** , as he was so obnoxious . I am not joking !
