In all fairness, it is rather lamentable that national insecurity would make you want to proclaim 'curling glory' as part of your national identity... in all honesty I don't really claim to be anything ... was born in England from grandparents that were 1 English, 1 Scottish and 2 Irish in terms of descent ... no reason to over celebrate or lament any of that ... am what I am .. and what the most of us on these 'British' Isles are ... hybrid or mongrel ... my surname would give me a warm welcome in Munster and yet has not proven a negative in 62 years existence in England ...so what's the big deal? <laugh>
