I am very glad that I don’t subscribe to the athletic. But if I did, I’d be cancelling it. Imagine snitching on your own team. Ridiculous
Another interesting TSP coming up as he has been getting direct pelters on Twitter. B it perhaps that happens with most articles and people who are in that field just zone it out now
I agree with you too but I think if he played more his stats may be better. With Pellegrino he was behind Carrillo FFS.
I really hope Saints screwed over Newcastle here with the rearranged date. It's slotted in quite nicely for us with a home game on the Sunday after but it's really not ideal for them.
Absolutely no sympathy for Newcastle on this, after their “Covid issues” in January. Hope we smash them.

Everybody always makes excuses for Gabbiadini. And yet - as we’ve seen with Broja this season and Ings in the previous two - a top striker should be able to create opportunities for themselves, through awareness, positioning, run-making, effort and so on. I don’t know what it was exactly about Gabbiadini, but he seemed to be lacking in one or more of these departments. Quite simply, when Shane Long fails to score, it’s all Shane’s fault. When Gabbiadini fails to score, it’s everybody else’s fault.
I have always said from the moment we signed Shane Long It wasn't for his goal scoring ability which let's face has never been prolific where ever he has been. But it is everything else he brings for example he never gives up on anything and keeps harassing defenders so I have never said that about Long. It might be Making excuses for Gabbi but neither Pellegrino or Hughes played him regularly. Ings and Broja were/are played regularly in our first team. I wonder how they would fair if they were not played for months on end?
Again, I agree. My original point though was that Gabbi's 'peak' form for us, was literally just a handful of games (4 or 5). I'd personally argue that isn't substantial enough to put him up there with some of our other strikers of the last ten years. J-Rod's glory with us was short-lived, but at least his 'peak' lasted for at least a whole season. That, for me, promotes him above Gabbi. But we're all different, and we all have different criteria. I don't deny that Gabbi was a technically gifted footballer. He just didn't do enough with his talents for me. I also can't ignore the fact that he was out of favour with at least three different managers during his time here. And even Ralph chose not to keep him.
Saints away kit massively reduced at the moment. managed to get the lad a YL whole kit for £37. Lets hope it's 'Yellows' in cup victory!
I guess it is that there are two away games in the south within four days that they are moaning about. And perhaps to a lesser extent the choice of Thursday over Wednesday.
