On first reading, I was going to say that the target approach is utterly ridiculous, but then, at the end of the day, they are a business and they are reliant on views. Unfortunately though it's us, the general public and readers / viewers, who have to suffer the sensationalism, the click bait, the twisting of reality in order to glamorise a story, etc. It really doesn't help society.
Truth in that, but that isn't going to change, especially when they have a kind of monopolistic position. Not serving the community, but serving themselves .... but it is a business that needs clicks / views. Society is the worse for it. (Of course, nothing specific to HDM / Reach, it's how many things are nowadays).We only have to suffer it because idiots keep clicking on the articles, ultimately we get the service we generate.
