Mum saw my new best friend (who just happens to be very good at prediciting football score-lines and results ;)) today in the betting shop, which has handy! She put a bet on us to win the F.A Cup! <yikes> New best friend, Johnno, told us all his tips and punts etc, PLUS he confessed him undying love for Rory Delap, god I love him :emoticon-0152-heart

I'm just getting ready for a house party tomorrow at Tony's. <ok> Will be good. Will probably end up stopping over. What is everyone else up to?

I hate to stereotype but typical woman, starting to get ready 24 hours before the event:emoticon-0110-tongu

Too much info Jub. :emoticon-0105-wink::emoticon-0110-tongu

Nought much. Probably just get some beer or lager in tomorrow night and have a night in. Over the weekend I think i'll try and catch up with some of the stuff I have Sky+ed lately. What with the placement at the Council I haven't been able to watch it all. Not that i'm complaining, I'm loving it there. Going to be sorting out the details of my 6 month stint tomorrow, starting a week on Tuesday. The details will be the pay, the hours, Pension that sort of thing I imagine.

Gordon Bennett,
Here's Pott's it's a quater past one in the morning, I'm at work and I've just logged on to see the local gossip!

This thread is like listening to Ma Lady <laugh> joking guys, and of course Miss Jub. Maybe I get my missus to log on at night's when I'm at work. <yikes>

My first night back after celebrating my daughter's b/day on Valentine's night. Pott's was surprise, surprise drunk as a skunk! <ale><ale>

See we have this written rule that I can't work ( Airport= Aircraft= I help fix em up)
So I've had 3 day's to sober up just about made it. So a message to all Stoke fans here on not 606. PLEASE don't fly before Saturday at the earliest. <doh>

P.S. Where is this thread actually going anyway! And, who really cares anyway.

Job interview tomorrow! <yikes>

Got to dust off the auld suit (bought in Marks in Hanley when I was over for the Blackpool game), find a hairbrush, and practice my best Queen's English. And get some fecking sleep!

Good luck Peadar mate.

Something I missed out when I said what I was doing this weekend. I'm getting up at 7.30 on Saturday morning for the first match of the 2011 Cricket World Cup, so excited for that. I know Cricket isn't everyone's cup of tea but I just love it:emoticon-0142-happy

You and me both mate, should be a cracking tournament, did you heard about the stadium for the final failing a fire inspection? That could pose some problems.
The direction this thread is going in is just the same as the direction Lionel Messi takes defenders on.

Farcical mate. Especially when they've already said Eden Gardens won't be ready for our match with India next week!!

I'm on my lunch break and went on the BBC site and it was breaking news on there. Now they're saying this:

Mumbai cricket officials are confident that the ****hede Stadium will host the World Cup final on 2 April despite a failed fire safety inspection.

The city's chief fire officer revealed several problems needed correcting before the event received the go-ahead.

However, Mumbai Cricket Association joint secretary Lalchand Rajput said: "The fire fighting team came and inspected the stadium.

"They have made a few suggestions and we will comply with them."

Kolkata's iconic Eden Gardens has also faced safety issues ahead of the tournament which gets under way on Saturday.

The Group B clash between India and England on 27 February was switched to Bangalore as a result but Rajput calmed fears the ****hede Stadium in Mumbai could suffer a similar fate.

He added: "We are not concerned about the venue being taken off the World Cup list."

More to follow.

Have you seen England are going to open with Pietersen and put Prior at 6 in the World Cup Rob? Interesting move that, especially as Pietersen is saying he won't pinch hit, so I guess he'll bat normally, well as normally as he bats anyway!! If it comes off it could be as a big a masterstroke as when Sri Lanka put Jayasuriya up at the top of the order in the 1996 World Cup.

Just checked the score for our warm up match against Pakistan. Doing better than we did against Canada the other day, not that that's hard!!! 273 all out with 2 balls left. Pietersen getting 66, Colly 65, Bell 39, Bopara 35 and Prior 24. Nice to see Colly and KP in the runs but it seems like the same old story, people getting in and getting out!!!

Agreed should be a good tournament. India look an exciting team, their batting looks just delicious, Tendulkar, Gambhir, Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina. I think it's India's cup, Sri Lanka should do well. South Africa will get to the semis probably before bottling it in a new and unique way that only they can do.

Anyways, finished my lunch break now, back to work. I'll be back on sometime after 5 I reckon.
