Batth comes in for Alvez, Xhemajli comes in for Flannagan and that leaves us with 4 CB's with Doyle and Wright.
most other teams throughout the football leagues only have for 4 CB's?

I really dont understand what the panic is in letting Flannagan go? We paid close to 1m for Xhemajli, so i expect him to be an upgrade on Flannagan once he's back up to full fittness, and it goes without saying that Batth is an upgrade on Alves.

We also have Onien to fill in there incase of any emergencies.
Once Broadhead, Onien and Huggins return, we should have a decent sized squad going into the playoffs. We have no Cup games anymore now aswell.

The Cup games have really bit us on the ar$e this season with picking up injuries. Losing Broadhead against Arsenal has hit us hard. I think he'd have made a big difference in us getting automatic promotion if he hadnt of injured himself that game.

The Fleetwood fans have described as “more like NKante than Fabinho” so I’d be seeing that more as a 4 than an 8, personally.
Kante is my favourite premier league player, I’d be buzzing if we had someone like him in our side.

*Obviously not suggesting he’s as good as Kante like, but similar playing style will do me.

Agreed

matete looks a good signing, would have been happier to see another CB to sit in there with batth rather than him taking flanagans place, doyle needs a break imho.

otherwise a good window i feel, also love the way we have been 'teased' with defoe, his little 'likes' to certain tweets and his picture from essex...i think the deal was indeed done last week but 'the politics' had to be sorted and maybe he asked for a couple of days with family as he probably wont have time once the games start coming fast again.

plus, many thanks to the lads offering what they had heard, makes the whole thing that much more entertaining with a 'will he, wont he' feel to it all...cheers lads, all info appreciated and accepted in good faith and the knowledge that not all rumours will happen.

I wrote this half asleep. I was trying to work out why N'Kante didn't look right :D

Think its the unknown, as Arbie hasnt played. He's probably class but we just don't know.

Don't think it's as bad as people are making out really. Bart is flanno replacement and a massive upgrade. The others you mention didn't play anyway. We have Arby who is back to fitness. Untested agree but no more so than younger.

Also, if needed I see LO9 being told to get back in like. Verbal agreement of CM only will die as LJ is a goner.
What verbal agreement, mate? Something I’ve missed?
