Yeah, it was clear Porto were going to push the player out the door to balance the books irrespective so we had to move or lose out.

It's great to see we were the superior choice as in the past it simply was not the case.

It's also nice to see the value you can get in wages and fees still when you ignore the ridiculous

Interesting one that one. Out of contract in summer but helping fulham to prep atm.

Wonder if there’s a deal to be done where we’ll pay you X amount now to secure him but can have him on loan for rest of season as wouldn’t be needed by us in the prem yet (heck even another loan next year to continue his development).

Was talk of us going for him last summer as well so seems like would be a target for us.

With 3rd and 4th placed pointless play off it means he gets no rest at all and as such deserves tar and feathering considering the massive underdogs have scraped through their group and now beaten two far better sides aet.

It's the equivalent of Greece in the euros that time or England in world cup last time ;)

Look, tbh we just bought a 25 year old for the exact same position (given we don't play with a no 20) so really it may be a case of doing what you say to secure the player esp if Fulham are willing to take the cash next summer to help balance our books.

5mil for a player who'll be worth 10 without doing anything is no brained I suppose.

But minime has to go.
