Shows how little attention some football fans pay to anything outside their own club

Chelsea can’t even cancel the loan of a player they want back so that they can play him. It stretched credulity to think they could cancel Broja’s loan and sell him on a permanent deal to a club in three days

there is a reason most deals at the end of the window are loans

Surely Carvalho would be insane to go an join the queue behind Salah, Mane, Jota, Diaz and Oxlade Chamberlain. To say nothing of the young players they already have. Isn’t one of their best prospects due back from loan

Unless he goes into their midfield three. Seems a bit attacking for that but who knows

Edit: I have assumed he will go into their forward three purely because their other three are far more all round and box to box. They don’t usually play a traditional number 10 which is closer to what he appears to be.

I’m sure it is just poor wording from the guy writing the tweet but “would also take” sounds really odd to me.

Oh we will also take him but no biggie is the vibe it gives off which I very much assume is not the case

Remember that Liverpool will out pay the likes of Saints by a big margin and thats more important to many young footballers than actually playing plus his agent is probably getting a huge fee from the Scousers too

If he is that kind of player who will be content to be something like 7th choice in both midfield and attack then he isn’t really what we should be looking at anyway

You’d think you would be better off long term with a couple of years playing in the premier league (or other top division) and then getting a big move on bigger money than what Liverpool are likely to offer now

Attackers ahead of him:

Salah
Mane
Jota
Firmino
Diaz

And then possibly Oxlade and Elliot. But at best 6th choice

Midfielders ahead of him (considering they don’t play with midfielders like him):

Fabinho
Henderson
Thiago
Jones
Keita

And again probably Oxlade. Milner is still there as well

So he might just get into a fully changed 11. So Carabao cup and dead rubber European games ? Just seems nonsensical unless I am missing something

Sorry but for most it’s £££££ and a bit related to the club being bigger, more likely to be winning trophies.

But he might have to retire through injury soon so should take the money while he can

And yet when I tried suggesting that some top players didn’t really enjoy playing football I got heavily challenged on that claim

My point is the potential for earnings goes up if you improve which he will struggle to do if he joins Liverpool.

But the sure thing of a juicy five year contract on high wages would be too much to turn down. Oh would you look at that - another one of my points (about a different player of ours) that some people strongly disagreed with (“why would they bother signing an extension with us”)

Mostly it shows how bad the quality of WUM attempts on this forum have gotten. People used to take pride in their efforts, now this is the best Not606 can manage?

Tino Anjorin's dad is called Sheriff, which in my book means we should absolutely sign him. Just for that.
Couldn't agree more and in that respect I've always maintained that Billy Twelvetrees should be the first name on the England rugby team sheet and as much as I like Ralf I would take Mickey Mellon in a heartbeat.
