Here's my two penn'orth...when LJ first mentioned JD he claimed a million things needed to happen to sign Defoe. Could a few of those million 'things' be why we're letting the likes of Younger, Hume D, Hawkes etc go?
I hate that kit and the era it represents. That kit gives me shivers![]()

My nephews a huge Boro fan, football geek and rarely says anything good about us purposely to wind me up. He'd even call Phillips shyte to get a bite but this fills me with hope in what he had to say about Jack Clarke...
F#cking quality signing for yous. I watched him at the riverside back in 2019 for Leeds he tore it apart that day very quick and skill-full, unbelievable talent.
Sounds similar to Dajaku and Roberts. Where does this leave Gooch and who misses out??
I reckon there is a big earner wage-wise still to go. Not sure who tho. Here's my two penn'orth...when LJ first mentioned JD he claimed a million things needed to happen to sign Defoe. Could a few of those million 'things' be why we're letting the likes of Younger, Hume D, Hawkes etc go?
Definitely upgrades to what we have. Thoes that came before will have to sit on the bench.

And a strip that happens to be the muts nuts...That ****ty skinny stripe shirt we had a few years ago represents an era that I don't mind forgetting. The owner, Netflix, Grabban bailing on us half way through the season, relegation, ****e players,Kone, a quarter full stadium.... just everything basically. That era made people give up on the team. Now, quality loaded ownership with a clear vision it seems.we're getting players good enough for the championship dropping into league one.

I agree on Dajaku, he was blowing like **** when he first arrived but looks much stronger and fitter now, he looks well up to the task of L1 and what it's all about, credit the coaching staff. I like Gooch and he is someone who has come through the academy from a young age and I 'get' all of that, but he did play PL and Championship with us and he seems to make the same mistakes at all of those levels imo. Too many touches and cuts back then tries to beat his man again when the cross is on first time. If I could give hime some advice it would be... talk to Nicky Summerbee, one touch and wallop it's on Quinnys barnet. Goal.i will say one thing, gooch has an obvious talent but has struggled for whatever reason to improve his final ball/choice of pass to a much higher standard although i feel he has improved a wee bit...there is now, not only genuine competition but a very likely chance he could be pushed onto the subs bench and no longer a 'guaranteed' starter, could be what gets him motivated and concentrating again.
geads was probably expected to be on his last season anyway so no great impact on him, dajaku has looked stronger and faster in recent games but both will need to be at their best to get game time now i think.
should defoe finally come off i very much doubt he would want or be asked to do 90 minutes, especially if we have two games a week if stewart gets injured...maybe the thinking is he can do this if needed with a younger lad in there doing all the running but sounds like we have at least another month before broadhead can be considered... so could be an eye on clarke doing his job and being 'the legs' for defoe to manage more minutes?

I remember the 'hardest shot' stuff on soccer AM with Buzzer.while all the pundits waffled constantly about beckham we had the better crosser in our team, no need to beat a man and could get it into the danger area time and again from the half way line onward...mind the same lad iirc said he hated tackling, heading, dribbling but what he did do was consistent and accurate, pretty sure he was hardest shot in the game at the time as well.
. Beckham had a brilliant career tbf. As a footballer in open play he was decent/good imo, he grafted backwards and had a very good full back in Neville behind him. On set pieces he was ****ing lethal. One of the best of all time imo. I've got nowt against him making zillions tbh, fair play to him.I remember the 'hardest shot' stuff on soccer AM with Buzzer.. He was. Buzzer was more consistent with less opportunities because of the team he played for. Pound for pound I bet it's ****ing close mind. But don't tell Hollywoodtrue, all round game was better than buzzer but i insist he was the better crosser, lol
