Not sure if we need another winger...

How about a strike partner for Stewart!
Gooch, Dajaku, Roberts & Clarke will be the main four. McGeady will be used sparingly, if at all (IMHO)

Real pace and purpose about those 4. Add Pritchard and Embleton into the mix as a no.10

Massive reliance on Stewart staying fit, whether we bring Defoe in or not I'd like to see a like for like striker come in

Good stuff mate. Always nice to hear. There are loads of spot on lads over there but the mods and Roger just want clicks so let loads slide. I mean, any mod worth their salt would be stopping threads getting completely derailed with personal abuse about a poster who literally doesn't have an account on there and can not reply.

Hey ho. Today is a new day though !!

Couldn't agree more - met some great people, when I was ill very supportive - there are so many good people over there but too many WUMS and a decent thread gets derailed quickly. It has got worse because of the fact we have been **** over the last few years that is clear but I can't understand in a world full of so much negativity over the last couple of years people can't acknowledge the positives (and also accept that what might happen one day may change the next - the Defoe saga being a good example)

Yep

cant see us bringing in another CM we have Evans, O9, Winesta that can play the holding role,LJ likes a smaller squad as well

I just think that we need someone who can allow Neil to express himself fully. None of the above have the pace to get around the park AND win the ball and lay it off to the ball users. At present it is too easy for the opposition to break through the midfield and get at our back four.

Hit the nail on the head. We've strengthened the back line time for a strong ball winning midfielder
Give us a platform to play our game and stop us being so open when we lose the ball
