One day we mite find out what Humes problem here was. Said a while back there was all that carry on with his contract, seemingly only signed in the end because there were no more offers. Its like he didn't want to be here.
I've always thought Gooch would be great in MLS if he fancied going back to America. If he gets a championship offer he should take it though.
When it was posted there may be a surprise departure it was him I thought of. I could well imagine him having a couple of options and with our options in attacking places we may well be open to freeing up his wages.

Aye I instantly thought of him too funnily enough.
Well I said, he has been very good for us... but he is ageing and been injured, but if he can get his form back and match fit, he would be good for the run in.
However having brought in a big CB, a replacement for Broadhead is the priority... we have lost points cos of his injury. AoB not good enough.
£200K for Hume isn't bad to be honest. He's regressed considerably this past year. It's probably the going rate for a mid-table League One fullback.

hume looks to be away, AoB and geads getting mentioned...hume has struggled to get his place back and has not had the run of games he would need to get his match sharpness up, not wanting to put the lad down but wondering how much use he will be to another team right now, surely they would prefer a match ready player.
AoB as i said elsewhere has not really looked interested although seemed back to his old self against pompey, someone mentioned first child just arrived so that may be it...geads is going to be similar to hume, time out due to injury and really needing games to get up to speed otherwise he is far less effective.
gooch is a strange one to me, i think he would like to stay here but if the club are getting more wingers in that can be more consistent i can see them letting him go...he has improved of late but at times he still runs himself into a corner when a simple pass or early cross is on.
I'd imagine his problem was his agent, as is so often the case.
