A really excellent appraisal by Gary Neville of the Derby situation.... we should count ourselves very lucky and hope this never haunts us...

Derby are going to survive in the Championship comfortably aren’t they?

I just assumed they wouldn’t go completely under, and if that was the case they’d easily stay up.
Wondered if I was missing something

Some American company putting in a bid of £28million for Derby. That doesn't include the stadium.Wonder if the main concern of some of their fans will be semantics about whether or not they are debt free?

Complicated with what is owed to Mel Morris. He has written a lot off kf what was owed to him. He still owns the ground.mDepends what else he will write off. Which he may do as he is not exactly skint and is a fan of tbe club,

Given he made his fortune off the back of that very business model he's criticising, his words seem hollow virtue signalling.

I’m curious as to what justification there is to suggest Middlesbrough and Wycombe should ‘stand down’. Didn’t realise they were charities.

I think that is a 'bigger picture' view. I wouldn't stand down if I was either of them. The EFL are struggling, 'marking their own homework'. Clubs have to take what comes if they break FFP rules. Football needs a regulator and you know it makes sense when the premier league come out against it.

It isn't ok and I was going to add that at the end of my post but couldn't be arsed. Wish I had now as I wouldn't be typing another reply.

Shall we liken him to a reformed gangster who is now helping young kids avoiding going down the same route and just leave it at that. It doesn't really matter if he has benefited from it other than some can call him a hypocrite. He can see it from the inside and the outside and I think he talks a lot of sense.

And clubs have to take what comes
    I agree
But I don’t see what you agree with Neville??

I hadn't realised what the Boro and Wycombe cases were about, I'd assumed they were about unpaid transfer fees or something.

Boro's is over them missing out on a play-off play three years ago ffs.

    Bunch of chancers.

I think if anything Wycombe one has some merit to it as if derby where delt with within the timelines they should have been then Wycombe would have stayed up.
