Not sure how true it is but i read that Ed Davey is to trigger a no confidence vote on the PM. Silly, silly man. It will only have the opposite effect and unite the split party. Let them destroy themselves from within.

I love the reaction to the chinese infiltrator, its highly amusing to see the reaction from some yet no reaction to millions of pounds of tax payers money being spaffed to the already rich for useless ppe or indeed dodgy contracts. I personally think that anyone in any party found breaking the rules, cash for access, corrupt behaviour, misleading parliment etc etc should be sacked. Thats the same rules for everyone. Surely nobody can disagree with that..........or can they?

The beer and sandwiches party Sir Kier attended at 10.00pm in April last year in clear breach of lockdown is beginning to get more media attention. Not as bad as the No 10 stuff, but still flagrantly hypocritical. His Knighthood is refusing to apologise.

Yes, I caught that on the news this morning. It seems 'Captain Integrity' has scored an own goal here. I wonder how many of our resident Boris bashers will condemn this if it ends up being true? The funniest thing is that Starmer is using the same excuse as Boris which he laughed at.
I was also surprised to see so many people (public) supporting Boris this morning on the news. TBH, I thought they would have said the opposite? He might well have 9 lives after all?

Yes, there does seem to be a reaction in his support. The problem for Starmer is that his only policy at the moment appears to be an Anti-Party policy, so any breaches of lockdown by him will be extra damaging.

Was it a clear breach of lockdown? If what he says is true - that a group of people at work all day and then worked into the night then stopped for a beer and a sandwich before carrying on working - then I can't see which lockdown rules that breaches. If anyone joined who wasn't working with them already that day, then it would be a clear breach. That's a world of difference from a party organised in advance, with email invitations going out, BYOB and a suitcase run to shop to get wine.
I agree about the BYOB party, which by the way I think was disgusting. However on previous times (i.e picture in garden) is the same as what Starmer says he was doing (drinks after a work meeting) yet at the time Starmer said Boris breached the rules... you cant have it both ways.
Yes, I did concede it wasn't on the scale as the BYOB stuff. There were four or five people socialising in the room with Starmer, beer bottle in hand, at 10.00pm at night. And it was indoors. I would have thought under lockdown, you work, if necessary eat while you're working and then go home. I guess people will have to draw their own conclusions.

Yep, probably one people will draw their own conclusions on and do appreciate you'd said it's not the same scale. Hard to know without more detail too. One beer with colleagues alongside dinner when you're doing a long shift into the evening isn't all that strange to me - I've certainly done the same, and it certainly doesn't breach the letter of the lockdown rules, even if some may feel it breaches the spirit.
