OK.....Blackpool wasn't great was it! (memory clouded by a hangover....), but I don't think it was the stinker that was served up yesterday, stats wise we'd had more shots on and off target vs Blackpool and at least created something, yesterday was another level of ****. I'd still back GM to keep us up with or without the takeover and squad strengthening, yesterday I was VERY impressed with Stoke, they're possibly the best team I've seen us play at our place this season

I agree that Stoke were decent. Solid all over, and Jagielka is a good addition for them. But I'd be surprised if they went up.
Without a takeover and strengthening, we are in real danger now of going down. Thankfully Barnsley are even worse, and Derby's problems will do for them. 2 points out of 15 now. I'd have us 22nd and going down as things stand. Without a replacement, Magennis is a big loss and we are only an injury or two away from even bigger problems.
This takeover has to happen well before the window slams shut.

I'm not at all sure what the conversation between our current owner and the incoming one centred around in terms of selling players but I'm fairly sure that many of us are puzzled as to why anyone from our current squad has been allowed to leave without being replaced?

In truth I'm happy for big Magennis,I don't personally think he's quite what we need going forward,he is back where he wants to be and good luck to him.I'm not aware of any collapse in plans for Acun to takeover but as you say,that needs to happen 'yesterday',because as it stands we look up against it...

"(I'm) disappointed, really disappointed to lose Josh if I'm being honest but it was the right thing to do for both parties, really," the frustrated Tigers boss admitted.
"He in general will be missed, he was a loud character around the training ground but it was right for this to happen.
"Josh came to see me in the early part of this week, we have that much respect for each other we were both a bit disappointed it was going to happen but I completely understand it.

Then in a piece about his leaving.

Off the pitch, he’s respected by his peers and is an important member of the dressing room, and he will be missed, his voice, his experience and his professionalism have all rubbed off on other players, especially the younger members of the squad.

It is fair to assume that he was part of Grant McCann's plans going forward as he did not want to lose him.

So your statements, written as though you knew something, were just assumptions based on what you have read? Not based on being ITK.
With your statements about not liking having owners and organising a buy out of the club and making the MKM a community interest if you only had the time you do come across as a bit full of your self importance at times.

I have never said anything about being in the know. What has my supporter involvement got to do with posts about the players. The information is in the public domain, but I "think" that supporters do not understand what losing a key player on the pitch and dressing room will do to a squad and coaching staff.

One or two mentioned Honeymans passing wasn't great yesterday but for me a contributory factor was the positioning of Eaves and KLP. KLP had two roles and I think he is struggling with that. If we were on the front foot like we should/need to be when we have the ball, then he is farther up the pitch (or at least minded to get up there quicker) and in a position to collect the balls played through to the left wing. Either that or Eaves has to come out wide. I thought the two or three passes played to the left wing in the first half were great and reminiscent of the pass (infamous or otherwise) made by Billy Bremner when he first started with us. Light years ahead in his thinking. Those of a certain age will know what I am referring to.

Any news on safe standing, the ludicrous segregation, the ridiculous amount of stewards compared to other stadiums who concentrate most of the attention on home fans and get in their way unlike elsewhere? Or are other things which don't help the atmosphere considered more important to that awful phrase "the match day experience" of more importance?

I have far more important things happening in my life. I still am involved as a supporter, but cut back dramatically recently. I have had some things to finish off with my interests and hobbies and that’s it for me.

Didn’t Josh go because he was out contract this summer ,? we didn’t want to offer him two more years which I think is the correct decision so he’s gone with two more years plus the the time til summer . It’s not good timing because we might have new owners - so it was right for him and The Allams or the the new guys / it is just unfortunate - it’s a financially sensible decision if the takeover works out- if it doesn’t we hopefully have a chance of another forward at this level- that’s the only risk

We don't have more stewards than other stadiums, there's a formula for how many stewards you need to have for each game and it's the same for all clubs. You don't seriously think the Allams pay to employ more stewards than they need to?

You don't see them constantly walking up and down aisles and in front of people either.And stewards elsewhere tend to sit down round the perimeter and not obstructing people's views. Elsewhere stewarding is concentrated on away fans not home ones like at the MKM.And they don't have a fence in front of the few people stood up where they are still stood about. Have you seen any other grounds with a solid line of stewards between two sections of home fans.

Was talking to a couple of fans who had been as guests as their boss deals with MKM. One is a Leeds fan and was surprised at the level of stewarding.

Used to be a steward for every 250 fans. 11,000 there. Let's say the expected 12,000 that would be 48 stewards. The reserved to be more than that dotted about. Didn't see as many at highlights of games with similar attendances. Or some larger ones come to that. Maybe elsewhere they stay out of sight until needed whereas ours like to pose and strut self importantly about. Or rather those in charge of stewarding want them to.

I was referring to stewards standing in front of the fence in front of E2 and E3. Total overkill. As is the way they rush about in front of there if City score as if people are going to scale the fence and invade the pitch. And the way they line up along the front of the East Stand near the end of the game. They sit down in most places until needed instead of obstructing views. Just my opinion, might not bother others.
