As I mentioned to Ponks yesterday ... much bigger clubs than the Goons will be in for him (United linked yesterday) but he won't be going anywhere until the summer at the earliesr and, if we do sell him, it will be for a Maguire-esque fee ... or we'll just keep him for next season ... simples <cheers>

How long does he have left on his deal?

He’s barely kicked a ball since Sept due to a torn hamstring, came back and it went again.

If it's true I'll be happy with it mate we've ritchie at lb for years which is ridiculous for any prem league club.

He's not though is he. CR7 for one. Pjanic. Paulinho.

Sky sports said it. Premier league most expensive 30 year old ever

CHRIS WOOD is officially the most-expensive 30-year-old in Premier League history. The former Burnley striker became the latest played to join Newcastle's revolution now working under the richest owners in world football.

Don't know ... but certainly summer 2023 ... so happy to have an auction this summer if he wants to go ... was circa £40 mill well spent and we'll be looking to make a significant profit <cheers>

depends. A year to go, he may accept a deal on t he side and leave for free, earning a big payday for him and his agent.

sort of thing I would expect our better players to do after a year in Championship

Then he plays another season which will suit us even better ... for me. <cheers>

Sort of thing that's happening more and more, look at PSG's transfer business.

A few premier clubs interested in signing Erikson, I wonder how the insurance is going to work out on that. It's one thing buying a player with a bad injury history, but a different story to someone who pretty much died on a football pitch.
