Better?Come on, PNP. Wipe those tears away and give us a hug
I'm sure you love us really. What would you do if we weren't here?
Jeff Stelling's not impressed:I wouldn't be so sure!
Any player on loan who is able to be recalled counts as available so they've covered that oneCan you imagine it’s not outside the bounds of possibility to loan a load of players out during January if you have a Covid case and a game you don’t want to play, say to a friendly lower league club. Get yourself over the threshold then recall them after the postponement?
Would love to see someone try it just to see what the PL would do.
That's not true either. Any u21 player who has played a PL match counts. What club wouldn’t do the same in their situation? I’d like to think Spurs wouldn’t but if it’s a loophole that exists and it’s to our advantage to exploit it, then we probably would.
The loophole seems to come from the fact that U21 players don’t have to be registered in the squad, but can still be selected. The postponements are judged off the registered squad, not the number of players actually available. Which seems silly.

Yes....i posted the rule yesterday.Fair point, I don’t know how standard recall clauses are in loan contracts and if it’s at the discretion of the loaning or loanee club.
But there’s plenty who haven’t had PL minutes who play in the 23s or anything U18 upwards. If all our CBs got injured or suspended but everyone else in the squad was healthy then we’d have to find a solution and play the game using youth players.
EDIT: I also don’t know if that’s true? If they don’t have to be registered in the squad are they counted if they’ve had minutes?
Yes....i posted the rule yesterday.

I should point out that the Rule I posted is subject to an Implementation Notice which I suppose might have amended it.Must have missed it
Joke of a rule though
Odd because the rule in their Handbook doesn't even mention covid in the section on postponements."All clubs are able to apply for a postponement if COVID-19 infections are a factor in their request."
This is from the Statement. The game was allowed to be postponed because there was ONE covid infection that was a factor?
What a joke.
To be fair they probably ought to have waited for Sue Gray to finish her Inquiry.Take your time boys , don't rush the Port and Stilton as it's only the fans time and money you're wasting , cunch of bunts
