Actually agree with you but, The problem is they won’t give that about twenty thirty times a game So therefore why give it there It definitely was not clear and obvious as it was the third thing VAR checked for so can see why people would be annoyed

VAR should never have got involved nor the ref be called over. They are just looking for reasons now, not to give a goal. What's even funnier, most of the cup games have not involved VAR, and teams happily played without it, even when with VAR opposite decisions would have been given. If VAR had not been involved in this game, then the goal would have stood, in the same way it did in many non VAR games in the same competition over the weekend.
