But all the rich top clubs wanted it Now it’s working they don’t like it Still the referee’s are making the wrong decisions after looking at it
Because it's just another bloke looking at a replay with a different opinion. People have had different opinions on decisions on the pitch since football began and that's where the decision should be made, on the pitch by the ref, live and in real time with all the pressures that go with it. Why should officials get a second chance to change their decision following a replay when a striker has to make a decision to shoot or take a touch in a split second. It's **** for players, fans and officials and needs sacking off asap. On a slightly different topic; the officials being mic'd up. The recording of the whole game conversations between the officials should be released online within 1hr of the final whistle, warts and all. The Crouch review calls for transparency, so trot the refs out in front of the cameras just like the managers and see what they have to say.
The only thing VAR has done has stopped players surrounding the on field referee! He just says its being looked at and they go away! The decision making is never ever going to be good cause its the same clowns using the system
Imho, Kane's tackle was worse than Robertson's. It was a penalty for Djota Spuds had chances to win it and fluffed them.
well i never liked the idea of VAR and i never will, as i have said before they have altered the rulings so there is enough of a grey area to suit certain teams and it is still very subjective, would the ref have given that hand ball by salah if he did not have to wait for the game to 'pan out' before making a call, why was he not asked to look at kanes terrible challenge but he went to look at robertsons, it may have been pretentious but a mm offside was and is offside by the letter of the law so why the need to alter it, hand ball as i remember it was always 'using the hand/arm to gain an advantage' with none of this 'un-natural position' wtf IS a natural position, defenders are now so scared of giving a penalty away they put their hands behind their backs and leave the elbows sticking way out, now i don't know about the rest of you but trying to play any sport with your hands behind your back is NOT natural, refs assistants now wave their flag at anything then wait for VAR to make the call or wait till a goal is scored before raising the flag and i have seen a few times where a defender has made a last ditch tackle, only a matter of time before a bad injury happens. refs and assistants are human, they have a split second to make a call, mistakes were made and are still being made and always will be so time to go back to calling the ref, VAR is consistently not working!!
But they don't have tools sharp enough, for offside certainly, and the off pitch refs are now just making new laws up . Shambles to me. Worse still, there are people in tbe grounds, possibly freezing their gonads off, waiting for minutes and knowing bugger all, and people watching on telly know it's going to be a pen, or it's not, or whatever. Can't see me ever paying to go and see a match with var there. You can never be certain you've scored, and that one moment , the mad elemental burst of joy is why we go really, and it's the moment we all remember down they years. And a bunch of twats in blazers, probably never having paid to watch a team in their lives, have taken it away.
