excellent point, think i said earlier that they could maybe get away with a week or so but that would knack the play offsThe play off finals must be pre booked at Wembley. Doubt they would change the dates because one club has a huff on.

Can’t blame him for trying something like this and he might just get his way who knows.
All depends how compelling the case is he puts across.
I meant was his reasoning for the cancellation of Wigan’s fixtures compelling?? If they had no choice and COVID was running riot then that’s the governments call not Wigan’s. I certainly wouldn’t be happy if we were put at a disadvantage because of something like this. He's already put it and it's not that compelling at all tbh.
His main claim is that playing 3 games a week is 'unhealthy' for players, despite players first team regulars in the cup competitions.
I assume he's also aware of the World Cup and Euros when players compete at the highest level in game after game.
Someone on twitter made the point that we were last season. 4 games off over the Xmas period. At the number of games Wigan have now played, last season we had another 34 to play. Wigan currently have 27 I believe.I meant was his reasoning for the cancellation of Wigan’s fixtures compelling?? It’s all very vague though as the mags played a game against Man United, no problems. The two genuine injuries to plays (not COVID) and their next game is cancelled.
A lot of it doesn’t make sense.
If that’s the case then I don’t see how anything can be done to help Wigan, i get their gripe but if a precedent set regarding us last season then they will surely just have to box on.Someone on twitter made the point that we were last season. 4 games off over the Xmas period. The problem with that mate is that we didn't whinge like ****ing schoolgirls to the EFLIf that’s the case then I don’t see how anything can be done to help Wigan, i get their gripe but if a precedent set regarding us last season then they will surely just have to box on.

I wouldn’t put it past them.If the EFL did agree to say, extending by two weeks, surely that would have to be for all teams so that the last games all play on the same day. ( That could be a help to the other teams who will have more rest time between their remaining games.) Surely they wouldn't let Wigan play on after all but their opponents were finished, they would probably be playing mid table or relegated teams who will have minds on holidays and will show little interest in competing
It should have been extended as its not fair on us because we arnt the ones calling the games off To be fair i think we can play 3 games a week and still win this league, cant defend you men and that will show come the end of the season
