BBC web site header..........."Newcastle United rocked by Shola Ameobi hamstring injury"..........I think not.

<rofl> What next?

"Newcastle short of attacking options while Nile Ranger serves his 6 month prison sentence."

"Serious concern on Tyneside as Alan Smith, a regular on the subs bench this season, is unfit for next weekends visit of Stoke"

"Newcastle's defence is threadbare and will surely concede more while James Perch nurses a crotch injury"

They are clueless...

This means he wont be starting anytime soon, I might cry with happiness.

Looks like that cameo of brilliance the other week has really taken its toll! Give it 3-4 months we might get another cameo of what might have been. No big loss and hopefully we'll push young Sammy ahead of Lover but I expect not.

Just read about this on the Skysports website.

In it Pardew is quoted as saying "He'll be a loss to us and I think our fans will see that now, how important he is when he's not there."

Do you think that is Pardew having a dig at the fans (including myself) who don't rate him. Also makes me believe that he's not going to start with only 1 upfront anytime soon.

Nah Pardew will have said it to boost his confidence cos Shola will know exactly what the fans think of him. ie. "Nice lad, **** footballer."

What they didn't show was whilst Pardew was saying "He'll be a loss to us and I think our fans will see that now, how important he is when he's not there" he was doing the Lambeth Waltz, nudging the reporter with his elbows and finishing with 'Nah wat ah mean guvnah? Nah wat ah mean?' and discreetly tapping his nose to further re-enforce his statement.

This will undoubtedly bolster Blackburn for Wednesday and give them hope before Pardew and the lads tear them a new one.

Which one is Damien Comolli do you reckon?

I reckon it's Guest 3. Hey #3! Perch is going to be a bloody legend!

Was just saying the other day, it's a disgrace that Alan Smith isn't playing up front for us every game, he is a good young prospect for the future.

Probably but as much I'm pleased with Pards work, he's wrong about Shola. He's fallen into the same trap every manager has. Great in training, and you get a cameo of what might have been without injuries and if he'd applied himself more, every 3-4 months. Part of it will be Pards boosting Shola but I think he does rate him. I don't think we'll miss him one jot if he gives young Sammy his head.

I find it hilarious how BBC Sport have reported the club as being ROCKED by the injury, as if he's our best player and has been instrumental in all our games and current league position.

I love Shola but he runs hot and cold, mostly cold and we have more than enough in Ba, Best, Cabaye, HBA to make up for his absence. I'd be more disappointed if it was Sammy.

"That's a blow to us. He felt something after about three mins of coming on, but still played on which just goes to show you what sort of a character he is."

.......yea a tool

Ooo rock me Ameobi
Rock me Ameobi...
Rock rock rock rock me Ameobi
Rock me all the time to the top

Er war ein Punker
Und er lebte in der großen Stadt
Es war Wien, war Vienna
Wo er alles tat
Er hatte Schulden denn er trank
Doch ihn liebten alle Frauen
Und jede rief:
Come on and rock me Ameobi

Ameobi Ameobi, Ameobi
Ameobi Ameobi, Ameobi
Ameobi Ameobi, oh oh oh Ameobi

Er war Superstar
Er war populär
Er war so exaltiert
Because er hatte Flair
Er war ein Virtuose
War ein Rockidol
Und alles rief:
Come on and rock me Ameobi

Ameobi Ameobi, Ameobi
Ameobi Ameobi, Ameobi
Ameobi Ameobi, oh oh oh Ameobi

Come on and rock me Ameobi
Ameobi Ameobi, Ameobi
Ameobi Ameobi, Ameobi
Ameobi Ameobi, oh oh oh Ameobi

Es war um 1780
Und es war in Wien
No plastic money anymore
Die Banken gegen ihn
Woher die Schulden kamen
War wohl jedermann bekannt
Er war ein Mann der Frauen
Frauen liebten seinen Punk

Ameobi Ameobi, Ameobi
Ameobi Ameobi, Ameobi
Ameobi Ameobi, oh oh oh Ameobi

Come and rock me Ameobi...

Baby baby do it to me rock me
Baby baby do it to me rock me
Baby baby do it to me rock me
Ja ja ja
Baby baby do it to me rock me
Baby baby do it to me rock me
Baby baby do it to me rock me

Ameobi Ameobi, Ameobi
Ameobi Ameobi, Ameobi
Ameobi Ameobi, oh oh oh Ameobi...
