He almost got an assist too...

Interestingly, Klopp agrees with him.Did anyone see Motd with Stephen Warnock talking complete bobbins and proving it with graphics in regard to how AOC was key to our game?
Really, that is interesting I couldn't see his point and didn't think AOC played very well.Interestingly, Klopp agrees with him.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back at his best, says Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
The 28-year-old midfielder has started in the Reds' past three games and played a key tactical role in their 3-1 win over Newcastle on Thursday.
"It has been the best Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain since I have been here," said Klopp.
"I know he has had some spectacular moments. But it is a new quality, calming the game down and being really involved in all the things on the pitch.
"It is a massive step. I am really happy with him at the moment."
Cool. I love how clueless we all really are.BBC site.
Didn't look further for anything specific to the last game, but clearly Klopp is seeing something.

We don't see it all though, do we? We see what the cameramen/director choose to show us and rarely do we get a big enough view to truly assess movement and shape. This is why being at the ground is such a superior experience overall.Cool. I love how clueless we all really are.![]()
It's great to have an opinion and enjoyable to discuss the game but when people push that as knowing more than the manager, coaching staff or players it's laughable. We don't see it all though, do we? Even with what we can see we're not necessarily following anyone other than those actually in possession.
There'll still be some on here who insist that their contrary opinion is correct, because this is human nature - but my logic suggests that the coaching staff have a far more accurate awareness of the big picture, which is why I rarely moan about their decisions.
For years we've seen players like Hendo and Wijnaldum criticised for their style of play and their decision making, I've always maintained that they were doing what they were told to do to the best of their ability. Both were criticised for being negative, but both have demonstrated what they can do going forward when allowed that freedom. The role they were playing is one that routinely goes under the radar with most of us.
Tbh, the constant carping on here after a poor result often puts me off coming here for a bit - and the belief that we as armchair fans know more than the professionals is frankly silly.

i thought he was pretty anonymous however having watched a replay of the game on TV i did notice stuff he was doing had passed me by on my laptop .I thought Ox played well. Didn't do anything to stand out but he work hard and tried to make things happen. Still a long to go for him though
Thiago had a bad game, he usually grows into a match but it just didn't happen for him.Ox made some runs and some passes v newcastle but in the end it's about balance and henderson and thisgo provided little to none as a pair.
Newcastle only threat was maximin running and we basically left the whole midfield vacant at times.

Yeah. I said a few days ago that it's good to see how involved he is and has bought into things in a big way - but his performances are still a bit erratic, and that surprises me.Thiago had a bad game, he usually grows into a match but it just didn't happen for him.
