Blimey Stroller you think you are Nostradamus! Not exactly a hard thing to predict was it? Even I thought the constituents would be sending a message. A self inflected wound by the government and was capitalised by the Limps… whom by the way always do well in By-elections and don’t replicate the vote in a GE. , as history tells us.

I think we all know it will be a Tory seat again at the next election.

A couple of things of interest was the that Labour supported the Limps… have they become their ‘bitches’ now? They also lost votes. Labour aren’t a true opposition.
Ed Davey is creepy. I watched him on TV this morning and he gave me the creeps… one for Watford.

As for Boris, he needs to get it together. Unlike all the others, he is a winner. He needs to get his mojo back. He must know now that the lefty MSM are out to get him. Cut out all the ‘buffooning’ and get on with the job. Next year could be better ( without COVID) and he needs to focus on important issues. People don’t trust Labour to govern the country but don’t take them for granted.

I didn't say the result was about Brexit, I said it was a Brexit Party government. Johnson kicked a number of decent, capable people out of the government for voting against Brexit and replaced them with corrupt, useless sycophants. The result was about Johnson himself primarily.

Yes, it was about Boris Johnson. He could not have Cabinet members that did not believe in Brexit. Look at the burden Starmer still carries for wanting a People's Vote.

Almost like Boris is a completely vacuous narcissist who has no respect whatsoever for any principle beyond promoting himself and getting to the top job. Almost as if Boris has a track record of lying and cheating and has no character, no morals, and no ability to do the right thing. Almost as if Boris has broken every major promise he's made.

I wish I'd had the foresight to quit the Tory Party on the day he became leader. Oh wait, I did. I'm glad others are starting to see through the very thin charade.

I can't wait until he's gone and the Tory Party - like them or not - can return to being a credible Party of Government that doesn't take the public for fools and doesn't try to defend the indefensible.

Our two biggest newspapers are The Sun and Mail. The “leftie MSM” narrative is embarrassing.

Under our antiquated voting system, voters will have to hold their noses sometimes and vote for someone not their preferred party to get the Tories out. It’s just one seat, and one that will probably go back to the Tories, but MPs in more marginal areas will be jittery.

Borders Bill?
Freedom of Movement?
Clamping down on peaceful protest?
Endless culture wars pandering to old right wing ****s?

You appear to believe in no borders and protesters blocking roads creating possible mortal risk to the public (obstructing ambulances etc). From your position, even Nick Clegg is a fascist.

I don’t believe in either of those things, you’ll be pleased to hear. I doubt Nick Clegg is a fascist. The way you’re going you aren’t too far off.

What a steaming, virtue signalling pile of ****! No one is condemning or judging anyone for their sexuality but if a lesbian couple murder a child, it will be reported ss such. If they were Pilgrim Brethren, that would be too. You demonstrate all the divisive traits of Woke, including wanting to restrict free speech in media reporting. It would be incredibly damaging to society if we were all pressurised to cover up facts.

Wow that’s extremely rude. If a heterosexual couple murder a child is it reported as ‘heterosexual couple’ no, that sort of descriptive reporting is only ever applied to minorities. I’d understand if some level of description was used if the criminal was yet to be located but after the fact why does the colour of skin or things such as their sexuality bear any relevance? Oh right it doesn’t.

It’s not about restricting freedom of speech, all its asking for is consistency, so if you want the sexuality to be mentioned, I’m good with that but do it across the board, then it might highlight the disproportionate the amount of violent and sexual crimes committed by heterosexual men against the wider demographic (something you seem to have totally ignored in your response) and society might actually challenge heterosexual male attitudes towards women.

When failings of such cases are found there are usually numerous factors or pressures that might, I emphasise might be a factor. Socio-economic, position of power in society or the workforce yet you never mention any of that.

You claim is virtue signalling, yet you have no ****ing idea what me and my mrs do in regards to this area. Granted I do less than I’d like, because the vulnerable women my mrs helps are usually a touch weary of men.

It’s quite encouraging that a Leave voting, relatively old, solid Tory electorate can call out lies, corruption and arrogant incompetence so decisively, whatever their natural political home.

Their MP cheated. His boss and friend the Prime Minister, tried to change the rules to let him off, and failed. The MP resigns in an undignified huff, as if being held to account is an affront and beneath him. The PM continues transparently lying on a bunch of other stuff.

The electorate say ‘piss off’. Beyond a bit of a ruction in the Tory party I doubt much will change, Johnson and his cronies are pathological cheats and liars, they can’t help themselves. The fools who go on blindly eating their **** just look increasingly like those people who know deep down they have joined a ponzi scheme but can’t bring themselves to admit it and get out, instead they will just whine on and on about Labour.

What makes you think that this isn’t the ‘real’ Tory Party? How many Tory MPs owe their seat to Johnson? How many have any similarity to people like Ken Clarke?

Some great responses on here this morning. This sends a big and loud message out that people (apart from one or two) are sick of this charlatan leading our country.

It's a fair challenge. I am worried that Boris getting rid of anyone who dared to think differently about him has created a Parliamentary Party that is intellectually smaller and harder to change as drastically. Ditto Labour with Corbyn installing so many puppets in safe seats. Monolithic thinking in either party is good for no one. Only time will tell but I hope it can return to being a Party that at least respects objective truths and respects the electorate.

I wasn’t referring to those newspapers
