I've told this story before but, what the hell...
I watched that game in a pub with my female of choice at the time - who claimed to be a big football, and Liverpool, fan.
My usually highly-trained bladder let me down and I had to go for a waz during the game. Inevitably I heard the roar whilst I was mid-wee.
I get back to the bar and I ask her "Who scored?"
"Suarez"
"Was it a good goal?"
"Oh it was ok" she ventured.
I then saw the replay and realised she knew sod all about football.

Wolves and Villa shut up shop against us for most of the game. Leeds played right into City's hands.

that is ture but we didn't look like we were eaxactly flying at the end of either game did we?

We've got the Europe put to bed, now its the hard grind to the FA cup. the players imo are grinding through. Esp henderson and thaigo who ended up playing longer than we would want in both games. It might stand to them later but for now we need to put the games to bed and control imo. 7-0s are all flashy but in the end city have the easier fixtures

I really want us to get this game and spurs out of the way with wins before it all turns to **** with omnicron. spurs have to be weakened. newcastle can't buy anything yet. lets exploit to the full.

hard to know tbh. theres a case here to think about a mid week team and a stronger weekend team but the 3 points are all important.

klopp has been known at home in at least one game in December to rotate 100%

no origi. a bit soon for fimino.
has midfield options.
has cb options.
has lb options.

I reckon tsimikas, konate, milner? maybe?

its not to do with disrespecting Newcastle its that we know city and chelsea are likely to win most games as the pressure is on us to do this. we can't afford any slips.

You said we've got to get through this stuff, but it's January and February we'll have to grind through. I think we need to bang in as many as we can now.
Provided AFCON goes ahead, run our African players into the ground in service of the club and send them to their bloody national teams knackered - rather than the other way round as it usually is. :)
It's only Salah and Mané anyway, Keita will have cut his finger or something before then.
