Again Spurs lead the way......................

Manchester United close their training ground for covid reasons and are unsure if their next game will go ahead.
Villa and Brighton also have a number of cases.
Even in the Championship .. QPR game is off.

Reports saying Aguero may have to retire due to the heart issues that were reported a couple weeks back.

Real shame if so, been a fantastic player.

Does indeed look like he’s going to retire, reports saying an announcement will be made on Wednesday.

A real shame, one of the best strikers to have graced the Prem and football in general, certainly gave us many a torrid time.

Something to do with giving someone a £350,000 contract

Winger is the highest-paid player at The Emirates after finally signing a new £350,000-a-week contract earlier this year

See, if they gave him £349k a week it would've worked out fine...

They can't even find a replacement. The armband will be passed between various candidates, including Xhaka - who's rightly had it taken from him before, Lacazette - who the club aren't offering a new contract and Holding - who doesn't play anymore.

There's a void at the centre of that club.

There's an AFTV joke in there somewhere...

From the outside looking in I’d say Tierney would be their best bet but he’s so injury prone do you risk your captain being someone who’s semi-available for a lot of weeks?

We’ve bemoaned about a lack of leaders here but I think they’re a step further than us on that scale.

Hugo's important to us right now. If reasonably possible, we should be trying hard to keep him. Not only is he a top keeper, but he's the right man to be captain, as we undergo a significant rebuild and Conte gets stuck into those who can't or won't perform to the required standard.

He's been dropped from the team too recently. Strangely.

I just had a browse of their squad and there's really no obvious captain.
You want someone that's going to play every week, who has been there a while and isn't too young.
Lacazette's the closest and he's out of contract in the summer.

The best players at the club who start all the time are Saka and Smith-Rowe.
Would you risk putting extra pressure on them with the captaincy?
Tricky decision for Coneboy.

It sounds like Conte wants him to stick around so hopefully the club gets something done, assuming Hugo wants to stay that is. It’s doubtful we’d sign a better keeper than him in the summer anyway. Deserves a new deal and a guarantee of a testimonial at some point.
