Bojo said 'get ya boosters' because two jabs aren't enough against Omicron, which is no worse than the sniffles.

Anything to deflect from his Crimbo party last year. Man's a narcissistic liar.

How is it the UK government's scientists think it's too early to say whether or not Omicron is harmless but they can say definitively that two jabs isn't enough but three is?

Allegedly they have tested this (I think it was with Pizer) two doses bad three doses good. OK my experience is in engineering but one thing you can't speed up is time, so my question would be seeing as Omicrom is so new, what intervals were these three doses?

It’s based on data from South Africa and trials by Pfizer.

Hang on, I thought the efficacy of the vaccine could only be measured a few months between doses? So how have they conclusively determined that a third jab is more effective against Omicron when the first case was in late November?

In other news, Apple have told their customers that older iPhone models are now obsolete so you should buy the brand new iPhone 13 <laugh>

Pfizer said its research indicated that a third dose of vaccine provided similar levels of neutralising antibodies against omicron as seen after two doses against the original virus (wildtype).8 In its statement the company said that people who had had two vaccine doses exhibited “more than a 25-fold reduction in neutralisation titers” against omicron when compared with wildtype, suggesting that two doses of the Pfizer vaccine “may not be sufficient to protect against infection with the omicron variant.” The company said “additional studies indicate that a booster with the current covid-19 vaccine increases the antibody titers by 25-fold.”

I’m sure your research is far better than Pfizer’s, thanks for sharing it with us. <ok>

It wasn’t months ago, it was a couple of weeks ago, the WHO first registered case was Nov 24th.

4 weeks ther've being dealing with Omicron says Dr Angelique Coetzee chairperson of the South African Medical Association

Yet again earlier today she was saying Omicron is mild over different age groups and types...if it is this mild it would be better letting the bulk of the population get this varaint than the never ending merry go round of boosters every 3 months and a lot cheaper to though pfizer would be very upset.

Hmmm, who to trust? South African doctors and virologists who identified Omicron and said it's harmless or the multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical company which is motivated by profit telling us we need more jabs? So tricky.

Just to clarify...You've had your first two jabs?

Another conspricy theory, the double jabbed are now going to be classed as the same as unvaccinated and will not qualify for a covid pass unless they have the booster.

If's that the case i'm glad I get my booster this Thursday.

I know it's not like pfizer profit from selling more vaccines or anything.....
  • Slides from Pfizer funded scientists made several false claims about rival's jab
  • It clamed the AZ jab could cause cancer and was dangerous to give some people
  • It is also reported it takes Pfizer 76p to make its jab which sells to the UK for £22
  • These claims are from a Channel 4 investigation that is due to air later this week
  • Pfizer denied all suggestions it had worked to undermine other scientific efforts
