Big, big difference between someone in the 1900s being wrong about the future of innovation and ‘we should be wrapped in cotton wool indefinitely to prevent 80-year-olds from croaking’.

How are we being wrapped in cotton wool?

Also, why shouldn't 80 year olds be protected? This isn't Logan's Run, everybody is entitled to be protected.

There are hours of research that could help you to answer that question, for yourself, as it’s abundantly clear that no matter what I say you will only believe your own research.

All checked, peer reviewed, based on fact from a reputable source I presume?

Surely ann80 year old should, as a vulnerable person, protect their self and not go into pubs and crowded spaces? as mask don’t stop it double jabbed doesn’t stop you getting it etc etc

Masks don't protect the individual, they help stop it spreading to others, which is why it might be nice if other people took precautions to help them

And they might have been cautious throughout the whole thing anyway.

If you’re vulnerable and double jabbed and yet can still get it then don’t go out

Julia Hartley Brewer: “Let’s be honest. When you’re announcing major restrictions on people’s lives and businesses, without any scientific evidence or proper Cabinet discussion, we know we’re heading in a very dangerous, scary direction.

Of course being double jabbed doesn't stop you getting it. The vaccine doesn't hang around outside your body like a Ready Brek glow, ninja kicking any Coronaviruses that come it's way.

Did she go right through lockdown?
But but but the government says it’s going to get really really bad not me
So the vulnerable shouldn’t go out that’s the best option

She stayed in the house for the initial full lockdowns, but went to the supermarket once restrictions were eased, she thinks she hasn’t got enough years left to waste them locked up.

Ah thanks, I’ll end my life here then shall I?

Im happy to take the risks, but if I go in a shop it’d be nice to think others can just wear a mask to help me out.

Masks do nothing to stop the spread of coronavirus, just as they do nothing to stop the spread of the common cold or influenza. The WHO themselves said as much, at least until those at the top got their Gates money
