The second thing which popped into my head is where he would end up

Players with internal pacemakers aren't allowed in the Premier League or Serie A, although they are in the Eredivisie as Daley Blind proves on a weekly basis
He'll probably join him at Ajax. Makes perfect sense.

Lamela has to have surgery on his shoulder, expected to be out for four months.

Welcome to our world, Sevilla FC.

Its a shame because he’s had a good run there. A goal every 3 games in the league and 1 in 4 overall. I understand why we called time on his Spurs career but I can’t help but feel that when fit, Conte would have loved him.

The whole ‘when fit’ question will forever haunt Lamela. What might have been, if he wasn’t so injury prone.

I'll always remember him fondly, but the man's made out of balsa wood, unfortunately.

Most managers in the world would love a uninjured Lamela. Hard to think of any manager that wouldn’t have at least had him in their squad.

But it became almost a joke just how frequent his injuries were. Many times we could’ve done with him he was too busy on the treatment table.

That said, I’d take him back in a heartbeat for Lo Celso. At least when Lamela played he actually done something.

A better view of that Veljkovic scorpion kick:

It's the 2nd goal.
Video currently has 798 views. Bundesliga 2 not that popular, apparently.

I always thought that Lamela got the importance of the rivalry we had in certain games and knew how to wind up certain opponents, that goal against the arse , the wind up with wheelchair, battle of the bridge giving Fabregas a manicure , no doubt about it he was a sh*thouse but he was our sh*thouse and will always love him for that, just a pity his joints were made of poppadoms
