I never saw Leicester dominating anything in this game, you scored one goal on the break, they scored three perfectly good goals, although only two were allowed. I remember the Villa keeper having to make one decent save.

Villa were there for the taking in the first half. Watkins and Ramsey should have buried your lot, so Gerrard is work in progress, but not a bad result for an under par Villa side.

Current form stats over 6 games has Leicester as relegation fodder, let that sink in. Am I right that your next league game is against Newcastle, lose that and things start getting embarrassing. @I want Mackem Cock
TBF that was a great save.

Outstanding save, unlike Schmeichal's one handed attempt at cheating :bandit:

He claimed after the game he was fouled and it may probably need x-rays. Well if you put your hand in front of someones boot, expect it to get launched with the football - but that's Leicester for you, if Vardy ain't diving in the box, their keeper is crying about something every game. I can't remember his dad being a whinger.

**** all wrong with what Schmeichal did, he had the ball trapped between hand and floor, it's always been an offence tokick the ball out of a keepers hand.

Like the player did, I would still have launched it, if the keeper wants to keep his hand there that's his choice. :cheesy:

Haven't seen it yet ... just going on the BBC stats ... and those from other games ... got no concerns about relegation or even getting dragged into it ... we don't lack goals... simply need to fix giving them away... which is much easier to do ...

Nobody "holds out" for a much stronger final 3rd, what you do is gain as many points as you can whilst under strength so the returning players can boost that.

... the holding comment was meant merely about his persistence with zonal marking ... which worked fine with Justin and Fofana. ...

... one thing I would consider is dropping Kasper... his non dominance of the six yard box is a huge contributor to our fragility on set pieces

I was going to ask if you've got a decent second keeper, it was going to be a suggestion, that maybe he is part the problem. Sometimes a change, makes them up their game instead of looking for excuses.

There is nobody dominating your area which is surprising with Evans and Soyuncu in there.

Danny Ward ... the Wales keeper ... gets to play in many of the cup games

Also in our last 4 competitive games we've won 2 drawn 1 and now lost 1 ... so not really relegation stats ... <cheers>

Maybe they should play Ward for a couple of games then, see if it changes your fortunes.

Form tables are general done over 6 games, sometimes 8 games - over 8 games it is far better than the last 6 which suggests your form has dived and are currently third from bottom...

So yes, that is relegation stats.

We'll have to disagree on the relegation thing ... but that's fine ...

Actually think the best keeper we have is currently on loan at Preston - Daniel Iversen - he's Denmark's number 2 behind Kaspar but is often Preston's MOTM (last 2 seasons) ... he's bigger than Kasper and more commanding in his area ... definitely the future No1 for us (and Denmark) unless I'm much mistaken ...

I've always seen Preston as a pretty decent Championship side, I saw them on the box the other day against Fulham where they drew 1-1.

Maybe they need to stick in a recall, and tell the lad this is your big chance to step up. He's 24 now, so he either takes his chance or forever remains a lower league goalie.
