I thought the exception to that was if the Keeper had just made a save and was trying to regain control of the ball as in what happened at Villa Park
I'm not convinced. He was acting like his arm had been broken until he got the decision, then miraculously he was fine!
Yeah, they ****ed it up [a] goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball when: the ball is between the hands or between the hand and any surface (e.g. ground, own body) or by touching it with any part of the hands or arms except if the ball rebounds accidentally from the goalkeeper or the goalkeeper has made a save
I was just about to write about that, when I saw your post. I think he knew the rule, so he pretended to be injured, so as to take it out of the hands of the ref, and into the hands of VAR, then once it's played back, it gives all the officials time to think about the rules.
Nah i mean to complain about this blatant advantage. Itll be full sticky body suits before long ffs please log in to view this image
I was never happy with the gloves they wear these days, it gives a goal keeper and instant advantage, but as all keepers wear them now, it's the same for every team but as the Arsenal keeper demonstrated, they are all going to keep pushing the boundaries of what is allowed.
Tryna think of other odd little advantages players do to give them an edge. Like that adama traore, mans so oiled up im surprised the US aint attacked him. Cantona with his collar thinking it made him look cool therefore feeding his massive ego and in return making him play better Luis biting people But gloves are a bif diff i think, having sticky arms all the way up to your pits must be a help to a keeper. I dont think adamas oil shoukd be allowed either tbh
