I fancy we might get another win, with the likely takeover in the offing, players will want to impress. Let's hope so. On the player front, Elder was involved in Australia game, didn't play, but was on the bench on Wednesday night, so to travel back having flown to Auss and back might be a bit much for him. But who you play instead, or go 352, is the question. The latter is unlikely as we know, but with Coyle and Fleming out, so maybe he will have to play.
I don't think Elder has played a minute for Australia since they first called him up three international breaks ago. Seems weird to me that they'd reward his form with a callup but then never give him a chance to play.
He did come on for the last 30 minutes in the last international break in one game. Edit: It was against China when they were 3-0 up.
He’s had one cap, came on as sub a few weeks ago. But you’re right, he just sat on the bench during this latest break.
Birmingham will lump loads of crosses into the box.... I hope Greaves scores, but at the right end...
I've got a lot of affection for Birmingham, I studied for my Masters Degree there and remember those days with such deep joy. So many lovely, lovely memories... I hope we smash the feckers by at least 4-0
I remember going to see City v Birmingham at St Andrew's in the 90's, being 2-1 up when the ball goes into City's box, Greg Abbott tries to clear it, raises his arms to protect himself as Chris Whyte was punching him in the head & the ref gives a penalty to Birmingham!!!!!! Ended 2-2.
For this reason we need 5-3-2. Magennis might be earning his corn defending set pieces. Please dont waste a space on wilks at the moment. He's nowhere near giving 100%
