Being harsh, sounds a proper 'finger off the pulse' moment/ Should focus morejust noticed that yesterday (friday), denmark beat the faroes 3-1. the faroes goal came in the 89th minute and was the first conceded by denmark in 9 games of the current qualification phase. that's around 890 minutes, plus 17 extra bits added on at the end of halves. almost 15 hours of football before they conceded. julian yonssen wasn't playing.

yeah that puts a different spin on it. Btw, we put at least one past young Schmeichal not so long ago, so its not successive games.yes, definitely one for the consolation goal category. and just when they seemed to have mastered the trick of not nodding of late on. though, to be fair, that made it 2-1 and denmark's third came in the 90+3 minute.

Agreed.100% right.
Southgate has a job appreciably different to a club manager. He has to borrow players and keep club managers sweet, working players enough to get good results but not so much they go back to their clubs knackered and/or injured. Dicking Albania for 40 minutes then taking the foot off the gas achieves exactly that.
