Legendary showbiz personality Lionel Blair has died, at the age of 92.

Lionel was born Henry Lionel Ogus in Canada and moved to Britain when he was just two years old, with his family settling at Stamford Hill.

He began performing in plays when he was a child and attended the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford in 1944.

The entertainer went on to work in the West End but decided to give up acting in 1947, during which he took up his stage name Lionel Blair.

He leaves behind wife Susan Davis and their three children and grandchildren.
 
British vocalist and founding member of UB40 Terence Wilson, better known by his stage name Astro, has died.

Astro, who performed in the reggae pop band for more than 30 years, died after a short illness, his current band confirmed.

"We are absolutely devastated and completely heartbroken," said a statement on Ali Campbell and Astro's Twitter account.

"The world will never be the same without him."

Astro left UB40 in 2013 and went on to perform with breakaway group UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astro, which was due to tour next year

Though he's mainly known for Quantum Leap and other TV appearances, it seems he actually appeared in 99 films, the first of them in 1945 (I hadn't actually realised how old he was).

Really affected me that film

Memory may be playing tricks (again) but didn't he commentate on the highlights of the 2-2 draw at Chelsea in 65?

Clifford Rose 92. Had a long and distinguished career but possibly most remembered for his portrayal of the icy Kessler in Secret Army.

Moody Blues drummer Graeme Edge, who played on hits such as 'Nights in White Satin' and 'Go Now' has died aged 80. The drummer, who was one of the original members of the band, had a musical career of more than 50 years until he stopped touring as a result of a stroke. He retired from touring in 2018 due to ill health but was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the rest of the band at the same time.
