Trying to remember how long that usually takes, can't be too long? Maybe a week? Two?

From this on Wigan it looks like it took them 15 days:

By early March 2021, the administrators were in advanced talks with a consortium, Phoenix 2021 Ltd, led by a Bahrain businessman, Talal Mubarak al-Hammad,[89] and a takeover was agreed on 15 March, subject to EFL approval and finalisation of paperwork. Under the proposed deal, Al-Hammad will become chairman,[90] and Mal Brannigan (previously involved with Dundalk and Dundee United) will be chief executive.[91] EFL approval for the takeover was confirmed on 30 March 2021.

If you're Newcastle it takes about 13 months.

In our case though it's not the Saudi state buying us whilst trying to prove its not the Saudi state buying us.

They will be in the second they can be, if it's earlier then that's all good... Lots of things are already happening in the background.

I'm sure some will still say we aren't for sale though...

Do we know who else is involved with Acun's takeover?

Yeah, I know at least some of it was that.

Does Acun's channel broadcast dodgy matches?
I understand his sports channel broadcasts pay to view matches so that should be fine!
He is heading the Consortium so no doubt checks being made on the other members.Hopefully all systems go.
Hull Live comments bringing out the gloom and doom brigade. Let’s give Acun 100% backing, the club is desperate for change.
Get all the missing and stay away fans back on board and fill the Stadium if all goes well.

The club has bees slowly dying for the last 7 years. We absolutely need a change in direction and these guys are serious.

Hull has more than its fair share of doom and gloomers. Hopefully soon they'll be back in the minority.

What about the SMC? Don’t the council have to be informed/be involved if there is a new owner. Last time I saw anything, they hadn’t been. Does that imply the Allams are keeping hold of the SMC?

The Allams are not keeping the SMC. It's a clean break from what ive been led to believe.

Why would they sell the club but keep the most indebted and loss-making affiliated business?

is it definitely acun taking over heard at Barnsley at weekend that it's another consortium?

Have you seen Acun's Insta?

Of course 'what you heard at Barnsley' is more reliable than the horses mouth....

There have been other consortia interested, but this is the one that's actually happening.

Nothing the council can realistically do about a change in ownership at the SMC, nor would they want to.

I suspect the council were playing a straight bay with their comment, as it would have let the cat out of the bag, and contrary to the NDA & Exclusivety.

The SMC is the bit that should be making money, It was given a brand new stadium ( I know not to the Allams ) with only the upkeep to pay. A football club and a rugby club as tenants who should have been made to pay the going rate for rent. The potential to hold other events within the stadium, smaller events in the back rooms and then there is the Airco arena.
