It's all gone very quiet regarding the takeover. Is that a good sign ? (or a sign it's gone tits up?) I don't think I could take it if this sale falls through We are so close to finally prising The Allams away from City
Could well be that it's getting close. Last news was around managerial appointments, you don't get to that line of thinking if things aren't close.
Trying to remember how long that usually takes, can't be too long? Maybe a week? Two? From this on Wigan it looks like it took them 15 days: By early March 2021, the administrators were in advanced talks with a consortium, Phoenix 2021 Ltd, led by a Bahrain businessman, Talal Mubarak al-Hammad,[89] and a takeover was agreed on 15 March, subject to EFL approval and finalisation of paperwork. Under the proposed deal, Al-Hammad will become chairman,[90] and Mal Brannigan (previously involved with Dundalk and Dundee United) will be chief executive.[91] EFL approval for the takeover was confirmed on 30 March 2021.
I'm still sticking to my November timeline, I'm almost certain it will be done this month, Millwall home has been mentioned...
That would line up with the roughly two weeks for F&P. A week later than hoped for and it's a shame if they can't come in over the international break and make some needed changes, but no use rushing it.
They will be in the second they can be, if it's earlier then that's all good... Lots of things are already happening in the background. I'm sure some will still say we aren't for sale though...
I can't quite believe it, and that it seems to be happening. I guess we wait with bated breath that all goes through okay.
