I agree there is a plan a which is to do this rapid press on ball but not to leave massive holes as klopp says as.much when he waffles in about half spaces.

If you look at the second goal it's a ra k pass to mane who is surrounded and then the cbs are on half way so cant come any more. Fabinho charges at ball as the guy getting it has back to play. It's a simple ball round corner and run into space but then trent watches the whole thing and never reacts or sees fornels running into his channel. He jogs after the event.

We are simply not seeing the dangers around

In Trent defence, he's literally exposed down that right flank because Hendo is awol.

meh. if he was actually in position and being over run by two guys i'd agree but when he is awol and the RCB is covering him its an issue all day every day.

As I said about brighton second goal is was Ox not bothering his arse getting out wide and jones not tracking Lallana that compounded trent and konate and wandering about.

VVD was literally left alone trying to cover everything in the middle.

He did fine, but then west sham never tried a leg to do anything but defending first half after scoring.

In the end fabinho did look absolutely shattered on 60mins.

Tbf in first half only remember getting near our box twice, the corner and then antonio was through after going past Matip before treading on the ball. Defensively fab didn’t really have much to do.

The second goal, although not entirely his fault, all he has to do was trip the guy up as he went past him. Take a yellow for the team instead let him drive at an exposed back 4.

Love fab and thinks he’s quality, but wouldn’t say was particularly good, as I say didn’t need to do anything first half and second half they scored from a corner so not his fault.
Tbh whole midfield was poor yeaterday and the defence other than vvd had a shocker, alisson included.

its cos fabinho has ran himself towards the first man and took himself out of it. none of them do well they are all dozy.

trent though in the end let the guy run in his channel and ball watched rather than ever seeing danger even as mane leses it. if he goes into his proper position then then the runner is marked.

Don't think it's an exaggeration to say this. Failing to win any of 3 games in a row in this era of PL football is pretty catastrophic. That said, I think you'll win comfortably. A desperate Liverpool at Anfield under the lights is a tough ask for any team but I don't think Arsenal will handle it. They've improved but the only top 10 team they've beaten is Tottenham (under Nuno). This is a step up for them.

arsenal line up last time v watford win.

    ramsdale (not great, not bad)
tomlyasu White Gabriel Tavares (much maligned back line earlier on in season)
    saka Lokonga Niles smith rowe
    Lacazette Aubameyang

V Leicester. win ,same but Partey played for Niles.

v Villa win, same line up

Drew with palace 2-2 with pepe and odegaard in the line up.

Right now it looks like partey and Xhaka are out (no loss with xhaka.) but the internationals might get partey back for them

as of now Tavares is keeping teirney out, Lacazette is keeping odengaard out (have not seen a reason for the fuss here)

I think we can get at them but we just don't look that fit so this will be an interesting game. They leave us space and we can win but no way are we keeping a clean sheet.

Disagree, offensively Arsenal are a below average team. Their improvement of form has come from switching from midfield 3 and going 4-4-1-1 which has made them more compact. Unfortunately for them when they play against better teams they will have either revert back to a midfield 3 or play the 4-4-1-1 and risk getting torn to shreds.

When it really matters, Liverpool are capable of putting on a good attacking performance and keeping goals out, that's exactly why you're my pick to win the CL but fall short in the PL.

they haven't been heavily scoring but still have players more than capable of skinning matip when trent leaves him completely exposed.

Yes the 4-4-1-1 using smith rowe and saka's work ethic to their advantage but in the end without Partey they will struggle to out work us.

Our strength is pushing on teams high up. if they can get past that they can then go att us but we have seen many times a player like auba just sat never seeing any ball.

They shouldn't fancy it with Gabriel and tavares up against salah.

The issue for me is we have simply not looked like shutting the door at any time bar v ten men. cheslea, Utd, Atletico twice :) Milan, atletico, brighton, west ham brentford have all found a way to walk through us.

If i were them i'd tell auba to go deep on left and have saka hoof it across so trent ****s it and auba gets a tap in.

we need to improve a lot from here to get anywhere near a trophy. LC has gone brilliantly so far but we need to be better by the time it start sup again after christmas. The league cup we will probably throw with kids and reserves v leicester who have gone to the dogs lately.

Just feel we are about 10% off where we need to be collectively.

Jim none of our players yesterday were good never mind really good . Probably the best you could say of any of them was average which is a step up from some of the utter woeful performances .

I'd agree but the better sides tend to improve as things go along.
