    Date - Saturday 20 / 11 / 21

    Venue - Anfield

    KO - 17 : 30

Following yet another international break we go back to proper football with our second capital based opponent in row though preferably with a hugely improved performance.

Having looked totally out of his depth for ages suddenly Arteta has Arsenal playing reasonably well though it has cost quite a lot .

Last season the corresponding fixture went well as goals from Mane , Robbo & Jota pulled us back from 1 down to a comfortable 3-1 win so here’s hoping for a similar result on ( the distant ) Saturday .

Not expecting anything from this. You lot are a level or two above us. All I hope for is that we make it a competitive game, as opposed to the last few times we've been to Anfield and just rolled over for you. Would like to see a good contest this time.

We've been in good form recently (8 wins and 2 draws from the last 10 games) and have been defensively resolute, but our team chemistry isn't quite clicking in terms of fluid attacking patterns of play or combinations. Maybe it's to be expected, considering we have the youngest average-aged team in the division and lots of new players. However, we still have a tendency to be quite indecisive in the final-third. I don't expect things to suddenly fall into place at Anfield.

    Let's hope it's a good game.

For what it's worth, I have a lot of respect for Liverpool and would much prefer you to win the league than any of the other 'big six' teams.

Apart from the two games against us, best of luck for your season.

    <ok>

Should win this. Arsenal will be more open and although been on decent form, in any big games they’ve lost this season comfortably. We’ve been in but of poor form, hopefully no injuries after internationals.

5:30 kick off under lights. Always feel we are a lot better and atmosphere is better in evening games.

There is definitely a pattern in the games where we dropped points - the configuration of the midfield, in particular the 8's is what's hurting us this season.

There is no defence minded 8 to sit alongside Fabinho. Also, there seems to be a common denominator in all of these midfields ...

    nah.

If you actually look at how we ****ed those up.

Cheslea game we could still be there agaisnt 10 men and not score. we played inhalf the pitch. trent bang i nthe middle of the park.

brentford. gues what, two sucker punches as long balls pumped form left full slot (no closing the ball down) to back stick where trent was miserable.

City KDB just wandered in behind jones hwo never looked around and we also let them run pass two or three. again robertsons channel.

Brighton. well guess what again. no cloasing down of the pass or shot/corss effort and alisson off the line for thier first. And thier second? guess who. jones miles up park, trent now where as per. RCB pulled out of place. ox not bothering to close down his man who is apply a free pass to lalana who jones ought to be picking up and lallan slips it to the guy whos stood where konate should be bar he is covering trent as per.

west ham: first goal is a corner. vvd has to put it out then alisson has a flap but matip is actually drawn far too far out of the zone by a runner who leaves space where matip should be to head that. Second goal is abysmal. fabinho suicide ball to mane. trent is stood in midfield as well ball watching. fabinho choses to compound the error by running at the ball so the guy who gets it just flicks it wide to a guy facing right way and as fabinho has vacated any possible angle to block the pass. trent was too busy ball watching to actually see the trouble and its then too late to chase back.

it is the guy trent could have tracked who has the shot.

the final goal, again big corner. nobody marking zouma but the defense are all shifted over the near stick. matip is outsdie the line of the goal and out of it. Its WEAK. TAA is then alisson watching, not even the ball coming to his zone. mane lets zouma. go. how the hell is mane picking up zouma like. lol.

So if you actually ask me most of this is down to not getying out and blocking crosses comgin in (full backs) AND trent especiually not doing his job. we are getting pulled apart at will cos theres gaps getting left i nth e half spaces as klopp says behind no 8s but mostly actually i nthe wing channels where the basics are ebing ignored.

Its all fine pliling on as full backs but if you leave so many gaps you can forget it.

Teams are literally running right through us. I agree, that we';re not defending the aerial balls as well as we used to but the bigger issue is that teams are running in behind our midfield line with so much ease.

AND our full back on the right side. lets not ignore that.

we are running at the ball as first effort to win it back no matter where it is and leaving massive gaps for decent players to stand in.

Having the RCB constantly having to cover the right back slot now means we are pulled wide open to anyone who wants some.

When plan a works it works well but when it doesn't its a disaster zone.

People have to realise the players are following the tactical plan laid down by the manager & coaching staff and that includes the change in role for the midfielders .
