So after a thrilling game last week, where Newcastle proved a few doubters wrong, what are you expectations this weekend for the toon?

I haven’t seen many threads on the Wigan game yet so what do you realistically
think we can get from the game? (result and score-wise)

Pardew has a few managerial headaches regarding selection, a couple of players are pushing for a place so who do you think will get the nod? Can we stay fourth and unbeaten?

HWTL

Team will be:

Krul

Santon - Taylor - Coloccini - Taylor

Obertan - Tiote - Cabaye - Jonas

Best - Ba

The score will be 3-0 and Cabaye, Ba and Best will score

Wigan will have Alcaraz sent off ;)

I honestly don't know what to expect. We could, and probably should put five or six past them, but at the same time we could get beat 1 - 0 and come crashing back down to Earth.

BBC match preview banging on about fans' unrealistic expectations being Newcastle's biggest challenge now.

Just the substitution last week made me think that this will be the case. Could be wrong though

Okay, thought you may have inside information or something.. I reckon he'll stick with same formation, and maybe bring Santon on around 70 again..

Also just read Rodallega is probably starting, lets hope he is still finding his fitness!

No Wigan player worries me tbh. Last year they had N'Zogbia who can scare you. Not saying Rodallega, Di Santo, Moses are totally incapable, but can't see their midfield creating much for them as Tiote/Cabaye should dominate them. Colo/Taylor should be able to deal with them if they get past the midfield, then if they do they still gotta beat Krul.

They play open football and the fact that they do this and have a slow defence should be great for us. Our pace should be too good for them and in fairness we have more quality.

It's a match we should be winning but I've got a bad feeling. Wigan's team really isn't as good this year as it was last (no disrespect) and they only just avoided the drop then.

We are NUFC, we're bound to mess this run up against a team we'd be expected not to.

If we don't though I've got a feeling we might get atleas 4 :D

You just never know what will happen. Wigan might get an early break and score which could dent the confidence or we might get a player sent off early on. You just never really know

I'm worried was worried about Blackpool when we lost 2-0 and was worried about Wigan last time when we drew 2-2 it doesn't bode well that said I'm slapping a cheeky fiver on a toon win
