I think that United will have already identified who they want to replace OSG and cannot see them casting a wide net. Newcastle will be a different matter and you can imagine them looking at all and sundry before making an appointment before eventually selecting the fourth or fifth choice. The job at Man Utd should be much easier with the team they have but I can't see see Newcastle job as anything but a poisoned chalice.

It has been quite funny how the media has been concentrating on the failings of ManUtd last night as opposed to Liverpool's performance.

I can think of four candidates in no particular order. Low, Zidane, Conte and Rodgers!!

It’s a billionaire owner or you’re mid table. That’s going to be the league now. I’m okay with being a bystander to that and snatching 12th representing a good year. Some won’t be.

Us next though, yeah?

SiK, you're in Kuwait - You must come across the occasional multi-billionaire oil sheik, wondering what else they could do, to amuse themselves. Why not suggest that Southampton FC is an obvious place to invest their hard-earned dosh? Just make sure that they come to the correct south coast port...

Premier League to meet with Amnesty International to discuss closing the barn door after the horse has died of old age.
I thought that, a little late

So they won’t be able to reverse the decision but they may be able to stop similar purchases going through. Interesting. Can you imagine a situation where Saudi own Newcastle but a similar rogue nation can’t buy wet spam?

Mind you putin owns Chelsea so Saudi isn’t that many steps away in terms of human rights violations

Amnesty International UK’s chief executive, Sacha Deshmukh, said: “Whether or not this is the harbinger of a future Saudi-backed Golf Super League, it’s yet another example of Saudi Arabia spraying its money around in an attempt to sportswash its appalling human rights record.
