Apparently Frank Mcparland is waiting for a contract and until he is given his contract an appointment wont be made for a DoF or manager.

Not sure if i believe that mind.

Thoughts?

Ridiculous if true, we can’t be waiting weeks for simple decisions

They're taking a lot of time for some things.

But I am hoping that much like the takeover itself, we will see a flurry of activity all of a sudden.

It does make me slightly nervous however it is possible they want the three appointed at the same time.

Makes sense for the DoF to be appointed first then the DoF to appoint the manager.

I have also read and I think this is also bullshit that a lot of governance has to be put in place prior to appointments. That PIF like structure and a plan.

Not just a case of shoot from the hip and get a manager and then see what happens.

Almost like a business plan prior to agreements of contracts and release of funds.

I have also heard that funds will be released on plans and milestones. I’m not talking 10m here and there I am talking 100’s of millions at a pop. Buy that the funds need to be based on projects and plans.

I love it when people summarise without looking at the big picture.

Rafa did such a poor job, that De Laurentis offered him a 2 year extension to his contract. It was Rafa who refused because he was homesick. De Laurentis then offered to buy Rafas family a home in the centre of Rome and put his kids in an English speaking school. Rafa refused. De Laurentis then offered him a rolling 1 year contract, because you know Rafa did such a poor job.

Rafa was so bad that De Laurentis has since approached Rafa twice to come back as manager and once as DOF. Before going to Everton, De Laurentis wanted Rafa to be manager for 2 years with a view to going in to a Director role, overseeing recruitment for the future because he added so much value to the squad last time he was there and set them up for years.

Rafa was so poor he won the SuperCoppa Italiana for the first time in over 2 decades, so poor he took them further in Europe for nearly 2 decades. No one has managed to achieve what he has done. He's called Don Rafa in Naples. The fans there love him.

The great Sarri who both Chelsea and Napoli supporters can't stand.

<laugh>

What's Rafa like in bed?

What's to be nervous about mate? We're the richest club in the galaxy lol

There's nothing going to harm us even remotely.

Our future is at the top end.

There's no real rush like, we have Chelsea next a game we are fully expected to lose. Then we have the international break.

I'd want to have someone appointed before the break so he has a few weeks to settle in.

We have Brighton before the break too, a game I think we need to win

It’s still got to be manager and done properly. Look at some of the teams that have spent money.

Ultimately to get us to where we want to be and within a good timeframe we need the right people.

They'll get them and that takes time.

We might go down it doesn't matter

Can anybody summarise what's so effective about Favre?
He gets his teams pressing like mad bastards, a bit like Klopp, likes the gurgenpressing or whatever it’s called. Trains the players like mad men aswell, something which is needed.

I watched a lot of Dortmund matches when he was in charge and I was always entertained.

Overrated manager by trendies who think he is the answer to all our problems.

Truth be told, he's 63 and hasn't won anything of note. Piss poor in Europe. Sacked by 3 clubs. Poor transfer record. Few Hollywood wins obscure people views on him.

He's not Klopp, he's not the grandmaster of geggenpressing.

The fact he's 63 is the only truthful thing you've ever managed to come out with.

Took at team at the bottom of the Bundesliga and transformed then into a top 4 side in just one season.

Scraped relegation in the playoffs on the last day of the season. Finished 4th the next season, knocked out of cups early. Finished 8th the next season, knocked out of cups early doors. Finished 3rd the next season, knocked out of cups early doors. Lost 5 games in a row the following season and quit.

Critics said he couldn't handle cups and the league at the same time and struggled massively in Europe.

What is it you love so much about Rafa mate? Genuine question.

Your love for Rafa is like mine for my bird when she dresses up for Halloween
