Because Nolan seems to be the most mature member of the team, and he was given the captains arm band for that reason, aswell as his experience and leadership qualities ofcourse.

This isn't setting a good example to the likes of Ranger.

He is a Mature Leader on the pitch and in the dressing room but in his 'private' life he has a bit of a reputation. Apparently he gets hammered quite frequently and has done for a while now hence his weight and fitness. I agree it isn't setting a good example for the younger players and I think Pardew should have a word with him about this.

There's nothing wrong with getting absolutely pissed off your tits, but driving 65 in a 30 zone is just stupid.

I think Nolan seems a great guy! Maybe he could sometimes get a bit annoying, but funny
 
That's disgraceful, I can't believe he only got 60 days for that. No idea where it happened, but presumably if it's a 30 limit there's probably pedestrians walking around. He could easily have killed a child. Idiot.
