We play friday night against Bristol. Yak is meant to be a player that needs a new challenge every couple of years or he goes stale

He seems to go off the boil like you say, a class player at this level though thats for sure. I've been hearing that Hobbs is coming no matter what but will wait and see.

what's funny is the change of opinion with lester fans... <doh>

one minute fryatt is brilliant, £5 million, next minute he's fat, let's get rid... the guy is ****ing class and will easily go close to 15 goals this season (after half a season with us!)

Yakubu prem class? so why can he not get in a ****e everton team? and has joined you? he's perhaps a class championship player but an average prem striker at best! i'd have carlton cole or ebanks blake over him , that just shows...

Sven a class manager???!! he's failed almost everywhere he went... and he's a journeyman... if you don't go up this season, he'll go. 100%! It'll be funny when he does as you seem to give him so much respect. With that much money splashed I think that even gary megson would do as well if not better.

Also who the **** is Bamba? I don't think anyone can be a prem class player when only his own fans and probably 5% of other football fans have ever heard of him.

I'm glad your sitting so far up on your high horse because it will only make the fall worse and funnier for us lot. <whistle>

Right..........................

The only thing I agree with on here is the change in leicester fans' opinion on fryatt. At the beginning of the season you would have laughed off a bid twice the price we got him for and then your all happy to see the back of him for some reason :s. However i'd be happy with a goal return of ten for half a seasons work, 15 is in dreamland for me.

Yakubu is clearly premiership class. He's got pace, huge amount of strength and a quality finish. He didn't get in the everton team cos Moyes didnt like the fact he was lazy at best. Something I hope he doesn't do at leicester for the sake of the championship. And to say you'd rather have SEB or Cole in your team shows how much you know about football.

Svens a reasonably good manager imo. He hasn't failed everywhere he's gone. He's just not met the expected requirements that were set after he masterminded a very good start to each of his jobs (but lets be fair, very few managers do nowadays di matteo being the most recent example). E.g. Comes to man city (before they were rich) and they're challenging for the title till after christmas when they did the leeds thing of playing like sunday league footballer in the second half of the season. And journeyman? He goes where the money is and leicester have plenty of it. He aint going nowehere.

And FINALLY! I have previously heard of Bamba (Ok I signed him on a previous fm) but I think he could cut it at the prem. Big meaty centre half who likes a challenge. He has success written all over him!

So basically, you're a tool.

"Leicester are mad for letting him and Fryatt leave"

Not really - don't get me wrong they're both good players it's just that we have better players now. They're both young lads who want to play and we all understand that - glad to see Fryatt doing well for you because I always liked him as a player and I'm sure Jack will be a good addition too - they're both very Pearson-esque type players and he'll get the best out of them. Jack's unfortunate in that he simply isn't good enough technically to contribute to the system and style of football we play but he's a perfectly solid defender, who I'd have thought will be available for around 1.5 million like Fryatt in the summer if you want to take him on permanently.

Not sure quite why this thread descended into a slanging match between 2 clubs with no history between them whatsoever, but the upshot is you've got yourselves 2 good championship players who have spent a fair part of the season accumulating splinters on our bench and we've shipped out two understandably unhappy players who aren't quite good enough to feature for us anymore and will hopefully have got a fair price for both of them as well. Everyone, it seems, is a winner here.

I wouldnt say Hobbs isnt good enough for us. Fryatt doesnt fit into the system but he is still a very good player.

Jack Hobbs is a very good player and i hope we dont sell him. Since Carlos Tevez gave him a rough ride Sven has dropped him. Tevez is one of the best strikers in the world so its no disgrace to struggle against him. Defensivly Hobbs is very good but he needs some stability and someone next to him who knows what they are doing. Something we didnt have at the start of the season

I can see what the lads from Leicesteristan are saying, their top goal scorer from last season and their player of the season were both very average and they're best got rid of.

I agree completely.

I would rather we kept both. Both very good players

Fryatt needs to feel wanted and be confident without that he is useless. While Pearson knows how to manage
matty. Fryatt will score goals for Pearson. As for Hobbs he is one of the best centre halfs in the league and i would rather we kept him and played him next to Bamba. As for Nobby Solano hes yours, u keep him

Right so I'm the tool because you disagree with my opinion?:laugh::laugh:

Anyone who rates sven is a tool... the guy starts decent and then the moment things aren't quite going well he ****s off. Everywhere he's been he's started well and then not long after things didn't go as planned , he buggered off. The guy has been at 5 different clubs in the last 5 years, that says it all, if he had been successful you wouldn't get stats like that... the last time he was successful was over 10 years ago at lazio! he's better than gary megson but i'd take quite a few championship managers before him

Bamba, is a nobody, I remember a few years back we were all praising Turner, saying he deserved to play for england and in the prem for a big club... look how great he turned out to be for sunderland... hyped up crap from home fans, that's all really.

Yakubu, is one of the best in the championship but i don't know how many clubs in the prem would take him... so Moyes gets rid of "prem class brilliant striker" because he is lazy, yet they are struggling massively to score goals? right... I'll trust moyes opinion over yours and your football manager crap

To be honest Dean it was financial difficulties that mainly led to Yakubu getting loaned out, the same reason Pienaar got sold for just 2.5 mil as they couldn't afford to offer him a new contract. Everton don't have and haven't had money for awhile and their team is pretty much built on a shoe-string, and Moyes is unwilling to risk the clubs future by gambling and spending beyond their means.

I know quite alot about Everton as a very good friend of mine is a die-hard-all-things-Everton and never shuts up about them. Although he personally doesn't rate Yakubu himself and never really has, and he watches Everton week-in week-out, so I think his opinion is very valid. Although I myself rate him as a goalscorer, he's just too lazy.

"As for Nobby Solano hes yours, u keep him" will do.hes been there seen it done it.i'm sure he can make hobbs 3 tiimes the player he is now.he wasn't brought here for his playing power more his coaching power.
