Yeah I literally had to hunt for the ticket info. Website is crap when it comes to ticket info. Wouldn't have known if you hadn't posted. One of the away games I really want to go to. Cheers!
They're sending emails presumably, though probably hit and miss, as that's how I found out (through a friend). But yeah they rarely seem to publicise away matches.
Interesting to read Ralph's assessment of Tella. Crucially he singles out his desire to run at defenders and get behind the last line seemingly as a negative when I am screaming out for someone with the ability and desire to drive at the opponent. He seems to be grooming him to be a striker when we are more in need of pace and skill out wide at the moment. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/19613932.ralph-hasenhuttl-nathan-tellas-limited-gametime/
I fundamentally disagree with Ralph on that. We don't need to keep the ball more. We keep the ball rather a lot. What we need is to get the ball into dangerous positions earlier in possessions, before there are nine men behind the ball. We simply do not have the skill to play through a stacked, organized defense with any regularity, and this has been a problem since at least the Poch era.
Now that we have a striker (Armstrong) with genuine pace, we need to be utilising it by hitting early balls over/between the CBs for him to chase, before he is so close to the area that the keeper is always favourite to get to the ball first. Likewise with our attacking midfielders. They need to be trying to beat their opposite midfielders sooner, before the space between them and the back four has closed. All too often we have players trying to go past a midfielder, but because they are only 5m in front of the back 4, any ball pushed a few feet too far forward, then gets cleaned up by the back line. This is where we miss Stuart so much, as he often starts his run, and goes by players before they are backed up by the CBs, creating panic and space.
Not for me. Was very much right time and place imo and I wouldn't want to ruin the memories of our greatest manager in the modern era.
Can’t keep blaming the squad. There’s a lot of quality in there, and it’s the squad that Ralph has put together. If he’s unhappy with it then perhaps he shouldn’t spend so much money on players who warm the bench rather than improve the team.
That's just a dumb comment. Lyanco needs time to adjust to England and the PL, Perraud has been playing - I don't think anyone could have foreseen Tino becoming first name on the team sheet. And Diallo isn't going to displace JWP or Romeu yet but he's got plenty of potential.
Don't resort to name-calling so soon, Tom. The whole Ron-or-Ralph debate is purely hypothetical. Stop thinking your opinions are facts. Regarding the players I mentioned, again your emotions have clouded your understanding of my point. I didn't say they aren't/won't be good enough. I was one of the people on here championing the Perraud signing in particular. I've also been praising Diallo lately. I'm just stating facts. Ralph spent money on players who aren't improving his team, despite complaining (to the media), that he needs to improve the team. Bit weird. Also, three of our senior players refused to sign contracts in the last year and left. That's gotta be a sign of something. We have discontent among our youth players too. On Lyanco, we were linked with the Forest CB who was their captain and player of the season, for around the same price. Surely that would have been the better option.
