A common sense discussion would be ‘good goal by Eaves, but celebrating a 1 - 1 draw at home with a fellow promotion team after 2 goals in 9 games is laughable’. Look for positives all you want, the situation is still diabolical by every measure.
I sort of get where you are coming from, and partially agree with bits of the sentiment at least ..... but ....

Yep, we do. Including, what is it, the last 29 Championship ones where we've taken 10 points, and scored hardly any goals. And noticing that Wilks wasn't taken off

True. Considering the weather, the football & entertainment wasn't that bad
-> We dominated possession throughout and while our lack of confidence means our play can be a bit ponderous, especially when building from the back four, we rarely looked like we would be troubled by Blackpool. Their goal was a good one and came pretty much out of the blue - conceding a goal doesn’t make a team ****, everyone’s at it.
True that we did have more possession, but our play was often ponderous, the movement was generally poor, and it was us that rarely looked like troubling them.
-> To rescue the match the manager revamped the formation entirely, taking off the misfiring Wilks and playing a regular 442 formation. Blackpool struggled with that, even after we went to ten men, and the equaliser was a fabulous vindication for Eaves.
Incorrect. Wilks wasn't taken off (!!), which sort of makes your observations a bit invalid!!
He didn't change to 4 4 2 and the massive improvement came through the enforced change of the sending off with him left gambling with a 3 2 4.
Very well made goal, and deserved for the effort put in by pretty much all, but hardly a vindication for Eaves. Fair enough, he was in the right place and he did put it away, but it's hardly vindication for anything. It was the sort of chance any player should bury 9 times out of 10 if not more often (and great, thankfully he did put it away, but come on)
-> So. If you think we were crap last night, maybe factor in the pissing rain.
I agree, we weren't 'crap', but the same old tactics / set up weren't working until the final period where they finally just went for it, with the sending off being the catalyst, not some amazing tactical switch from McCann.
-> If you think Eaves is ****, factor in how the club has the treated and marginalised him recently.
Eh? He'd been dropped, and deservedly so, because he's been poor when he's had his many chances earlier.
-> And if you continue to dribble on about formations, maybe recognise that the manager changed it last night and got us back in the game.

I don't bet but in this case I'd bet my bottom dollar (as they say) that it will be same old on Saturday, just with another little shuffling of the deckchairs. His post match interview pretty much confirmed as much (not that there would be any doubt anyway) - I'd love for him to prove me wrong. But he won't.

Wow. The messiah now coz he scored from a chance that was harder to miss. I've been willing him to do well since he joined. I see no reason as to why he'll suddenly now become the CF we've all been yearning for him to be, just because he tucked away that sitter. I would though like to see him, or ano, start as 1 of 2 up top (but it won't happen ..... because back to the point that McCann learns **** all).

You completely missed the key part of his presser, when he clearly stated ‘I’m the biggest loser’. Truthful slip of the tongue?

62% is indeed a great stat, it’s something I personally have been saying about for years with us. Only problem is, that in a 90 minute game, probably 20 minutes total, is us messing about passing from one side of our box to the other, then into midfield, before the inevitability of Ingram getting a touch before a striker.
First half last night was just that, Blackpool didn’t have to do anything except move in between 2 defenders to get it back to Ingram, then when they had it, they ran at us, causing the defence to run back, before a shot came in.
I missed the second half dues to work so can’t comment on that, but the first half was so slow, as it has bee In numerous games so far this season.

Why should I answer when you haven't answered my simple question (which, unlike your message, was about something that you posted).
Anyway, I'd say your question is pretty irrelevant. This discussion isn't about Neil Warnock and his staff on Saturday. It's about McCann's shortcomings. But still, as you asked, as regards Warnock, Saturday and the past 29 Championship results, I would say that Warnock will know pretty much exactly how we are going to play and therefore how best to set up his side to do a job on us.
If we all thought the same this forum would be very boring.
I like the different opinions and sometimes arguments it makes it worth coming back to.
What’s the alternative a constant positive spin on the club? We get enough of that from the media team at City and how gentle everyone needs to be with GM.
I’d hate to think that **** could invade here.
Since we lost Bowen and Grosicki, Warnock's Middlesbrough does account for 1/2 of our Championship wins in all fairness. Be amazed if we repeat that feat again like.
Or a rational discussion constructed on a week by week basis. We need a repetitive rant first started in February 2020. That’s REAL support.

I don't get to choose who manages, or who plays for the club any more than I can decide who buys it.
