I read what you said & copied it below in case you forgot. As I said How do we know they haven't lined someone else up? They may have someone ready to step in. We aren't party to the goings on behind the scenes. As you say, the full-time analysts employed by the club obviously can’t see a better option than Ralph at the moment,
You missed the bit where I said they were available & in no way would they come, it was purely a list of managers who are available or options. If we are being infantile why not bring back Sir Alf Ramsey, Sir Bobby Robson & Alan Ball?
Thank you for the reminder. As you say, we don’t know, but given that Ralph is apparently a lost cause, why haven’t they appointed this unknown paragon already? I always liked Walter Winterbottom, mainly because of his name.
You do realise that Ralph's points per game is better than Puel's, and not that short of Pochettino and Koeman (both of whom had far, far better squads). Just trying to inject a bit of reality to your dislike.
Yes and as has been said overall he has been a success I’d say. But you can’t ignore the last what 25(?) league games with 4 wins Do you think if we carry on with a one win in six type ratio up til Xmas he will stay?
We've had, essentially, one bad (as in unexpectedly poor) result (which wasn't actually that poor in reality). This season is the one that counts. If we get bugger all from the run after Chelsea, then yes, that's the time for people to raise the question. Not now. That's bonkers, and is all about personal bias, nothing to do with football.
It's probably worth pointing out we would have won at least 3 of our games this season with better finishing (Man United, Newcastle) and a bit more luck (West Ham). 2nd half of last season we didn't look like winning many games. It's early days this season but Wolves is the only game this season where we didn't look like winning it at any stage. These games happen.
Wolves and Everton I'd say. Basically we've had two bad performances this season. One average performance. Three excellent performances. That's not sacking territory.
Disagree there. We were great first half in that game so we did look like winning it for a while. One and a half bad performances.
I’d also say that before the season started if you looked at the first 6 I would say: Everton (A) - lose Newcastle (A) - draw/win Man U (H) - lose West Ham (H) - draw/lose Man City (A) - lose Wolves (H) - win/ draw So at best I’d say we would’ve been on 7 points, more realistically 4 or 5. Although we haven’t got the points in the manner expected we still got a reasonable amount from those 6 fixtures
Fresh into the season even me (Mr Happy Clappy) would have said this: Everton (A) - lose Newcastle (A) - lose Man U (H) - lose West Ham (H) - draw Man City (A) - lose Wolves (H) - win So I had us down for 4 points. Just not the way we got them as you said. Proves that this football lark is a bit unpredictable
Also be interesting to see where Ralph was after 76 games like Ron. Bet not far off as the last 25-30 games have been poor. There may lie a problem as he is on the way down not up, but I am willing to give him time to sort it. And lets face it this season hasn't been a disaster so far. Some good football, better defending just can't find the net yet.
This. And we're unfortunate to not have picked up a few more points. At the end of the day we've played the top 2 from last season, a top 6 team from last season and 3 established PL clubs.
