It's because weak people, obsessed with fame, enable and thereby encourage scum like him to get away with it.

It goes from Saville all the way down to minor arseholes like Paul Gascoigne, fame buys 'immunity'.

If a bloke on your street drove around drunk, took class A drugs, beat up his wife, disturbed the neighbourhood, etc, people would have a word ...

... but 'Gazza' is a 'great lad and just a loveable character' because he bought someone a drink in a bar and scribbled his autograph.

The world is becoming obsessed with fame and the famous ...

It's hard to know tbh, it's only the rare sad tosser who ever mentions his name ...

... the Sunderland supporters turned their back on him years ago.

Means nothing to us now although that goal that killed the Mags will never be forgotten.
