Less than that, it's only a year away in Italy. I've commented earlier, why would our Captain hamstring his selection by only having 3 wild cards as opposed to USA's 6? Clearly would have made no difference whatsoever, but don't get it. I must admit, the last few years I wait in anticipation for every Open, only for the leaderboard to be dominated by yanks (most I've never heard of) and the the odd Aussie and oriental player
I'm not sure we have the talent out there to have a 'cull' of our deadwood for next year? I know Westwood's tipped for the Captain's role, but Garcia, Rose, Poulter may be needed for one more?

next Ryder Cup is Rome 2023 mate, although this one should have been played in 2020 they have decided that the next will be 2 years on from.this, good job really, we need as much time as is possible to find some decent young ones

One of the earlier holes too. If Europeans had any inkling of a thought that a miraculous comeback was on, that door was firmly shut there and then. It was incredible golf.
Indeed. I'm not a fan of DeChambeau but that opening hole was ridiculous, a real statement. I also have to say his attitude to the team ethos was impressive.

I'd actually logged in to acknowledge my mistake. I''d thought I'd read they were reverting back to the original schedule. Apologies, they are going to remain at 'odd' years. Gives us an extra year for half a dozen European golfing superstars to emerge.
Also gives myself and Den the chance to make a bid from our current long handicaps.I do realise it will take a lot to abandon our likely 'youth policy', though I'm sure we can contribute to the team spirit/bonding.

The Ryder Cup was played in the odd numbered years up until 1999. The 2001 match was delayed by 1 year because of the 9/11 attacks, so they were played in even numbered years up to the 2020 postponement. It's now back on the odd years.
