Hasnt even made the bench again for Ireland tonight.
That was a complete waste of time him going then wasnt it. He might aswell have stayed with us to rehabilitate.
I thought he'd only tweaked his Hamstring? Its a good job Huggins can play holding midfield because i dont think we'll get a great deal of game time from this lad going from his injury record.

I’m sure he pulled out of their squad.

Said it a few times on here… We were warned from Blackburn fans. Absolute sick note.

We knew when we signed him he would be in and out of the team. When he's in the side he'll definitely add quality to our team for the run of games that he can manage. I doubt he'll be much use to us in the Championship but he's got a part to play for us down here and we've got other lads who can play there when he's not available.

Aye it sounds like hes going to be another Kirchoff for us. Quality when he does play but hard to get on the pitch.

That's not what we need tho' , we've had players that we nursed through bad injuries and played them when fit, but it just disrupts the team. I hope he gets over this latest injury and gets his place back, because he does give us something extra, but if he's in and out of the team constantly , it's a worry.

Yes i agree it is mate. If you look at his track injury record its not good at all. Probably the reason why he's had to drop down a league.

He withdrew from the squad - didn’t ever go on duty. For exactly the reasons you wanted :D

I must have missed that, the last i heard was he'd been called up despite being injured.

He won’t play 20 league games this season. Maybe 15 if we’re lucky.

I can't understand why he has been given the captain's armband when he is likely to miss a significant number of games every season because he's made of glass.

We have the same problem with Geads as vice captain, so I don't understand LJ's thinking at all.

There's always the chance Evans will come and play most games.

I don't know enough about repetitive injuries to know either way.

I hope he does play, it was fascinating seeing the difference he made by doing so little so simply.

Evans was made Captain so basically at the beginning of the season if he was fit he was expected to play.
After the start Dan Neil and Onien have had how can we integrate him back into the starting 11?
Neil played Leftback the last time he played which allowed all 3 to start, but obviously we dont have that problem now. Its a nice conundrum to have

Not sure either can be dropped but out of the two it would be O'Nien to make way for me, Neil can see and pick out a pass/through ball that most of this league wouldn't even see never mind be able to put the ball in.

A fit Evans gives LJ the option to nurse 09s shoulder injury and not make him a nailed on starter every game.
It's a squad game now so why risk a player who has an obvious handicap like the Wycombe player tried to use to his teams advantage when he punched him.
Both players add to the team so playing either shouldn't make a lot of difference.

Aye that’s a good point mind. This month isn’t too bad in terms of midweek games but after that the schedule becomes more onerous and Evans, 09 and the likes of McGeady and to a degree Stewart will all need to be rested at times to keep them as fit and fresh as is possible with a heavy workload.

I think its hard to say that after barely seeing Evans play mate and maybes abit harsh.
Onien has been a good performer for us consistently for few seasons now and we always know even of he's having a bad day he never gives any less than a 100%.
