Aren't they already having a disciplinary for previous racist incidents?
They currently on probation or some ****, so this will send FIFA over the edge, wouldnt be surprised if the rest of their home qualifiers are played behind closed doors.
    ****ing numpties

Conjecture on my part, but it looked a bigger problem than just football, so I'm not sure what any punishment is going to change.

If you looked at the crowd it looked like an Ultra following, predominantly if not entirely white male. Aren't Hungary already under threat from the EU over its, how do I word this...limitation of gay rights.

Again just subjective on my part, but it looked as if I was watching a far right movement. A throw back to our 70's. Racism still exists in the UK but I'd say in Hungary it is on a completely different level ie it's open and in your face. Very hostile.

The solution would be in the same manner has happened to the UK in the late 80's over football violence, a complete ban from all competitions. I don't think the powers that be will have the balls or willingness to do that.

So just racism, but a smaller percentage is not so bad. I reference post Euro Final as a starting point for how backward we are and how we can't point the finger at othres until we sort our own **** out

Just to be clear Peej I never said that... If anything I'm fessing up to a level of ignorance on my part, but of course I'm not saying it's OK if it's a smaller amount.

I would wager that there is a massive difference between a couple dozen ******s on social media sending messages and 500 skin heads baying for blood inside a stadium.
In fact I dont regard anything that happens on social media as a problem, period.
Just block the idiots and report them to twitter so they can be banned, problem solved.
Half the people that sent racist messages probably arent racist, they are just deeply stupid and were angry. And the other half, yeah they will remain racist and banning them from twitter wont stop them being racist, but neither will arresting them.
In short, I believe in arresting people for actions, not words on a screen.

Still a different level Peej ... the big difference is that rascism in the UK now is predominantly down to keyboard warriors 'anonymously' (until tracked down) ... last night was overt and obviously 'popular' amongst worryingly large numbers ... they need a serious education programme because rascism thrives on ignorance...

Not probation, they have to play 3 games behind closed doors issued by UEFA - problem is that it doesn't apply to FIFA comps <doh>

Shame but not surprising. I don't think the media build up helps and encourages some of the low lifes. Spend a week labelling a nation as racist and some muppets will take delight in proving you right.

I agree with Gareth that we should get our own house in order really, though our problems are no where near the scale of that part of Europe.

Thing is I dont agree that our house is necessarily out of order.
You have some **** nuggets on social media talking ****. Far too much stock is put into social media and it pisses me off. Half these ****s would desist if they were ignored.
And the old saying "Why give a **** about something someone says behind your back that they wouldnt say to your face", and in my view social media is behind your back because of the anonymity.

And not to try pass the buck, but they were also like "Yeah most of these people's posts came from UK IPs" erm....never heard of VPNs?!?
I can post something and fool the server into thinking I am from ****ing *****lia if I wanted.
Again, not to make with the conspiracy theories, but ffs, why not try solve tangible issues instead of chasing ghosts?
Report racist comments to twitter, twitter bans them, problem solved. I'd rather the police were out solving actual crimes than pissing about trying to track down 14 year old pissants from twitter who said swear words.

Their Nation is run by a fascist - Orban. So it’s hardly a surprise that racist behaviour has been allowed to seep into stadiums, as the kind of people who do it feel empowered, irrespective of UEFA edicts, their main man won’t change,

It’s not the players faults, so ban their fans. The players deserve to represent their country without the fans spoiling it. If the fans can’t behave then they can sit at home and throw bananas at their tele instead.
