I read we've made a couple of signings - Harry Arter (mentioned above) and Sam Lavelle (former Morecambe Captain)
Second one was genuine news to me.

Word seems to be there may be a couple more loanees squeaking in before 11pm <ok> :emoticon-0158-time: :emoticon-0162-coffe

When does the loan window finish ? Isn't it usually a few weeks after the transfer window or is it different this year (maybe pandemic related ?) ?

Isn't Lavelle a centre back ? In which case we've now got 5 of them. I'm all for competition for places but I'd rather have an extra left back. Unless of course we can get both.

Lavelle is 24 so a good age for a centre back and maybe it will just mean that Pearce's playing days really are over with us.

Very interesting... but feels like a bit of a stretch to me. I can't say why, but I'll be surprised if it happens.

Seems to have been left very late indeed. Maybe too late.
 
I read somewhere that the 11pm deadline tonight doesn't apply to loan deals.
But that makes no sense to me. I assume what I read is just incorrect.

(I do know that free agent deals are not affected by the deadline)

I always thought the loan window went on longer than the transfer window but I can’t tell you where I got that from. The mind’s not what it used to be :emoticon-0101-sadsm
 
Looks a pretty good transfer window, although the proof of the pudding and all that! Leko and Arter give us some fresh options going forward, and Lavelle was loved by Morcambe - buying a captain from a team in the same league hardly smacks of the lack of funding moaned about elsewhere. The trick will be to fit these players into a starting line up to dismantle the opposition. But overall, I'm optimistic.
