My comment was a little tongue in cheek but I remember start of last season, Emmanuel was 'undroppable', first name on the teamsheet, etc. Until Coyle was fit.He definitely shouldn't just drop straight back in the starting 11

Jones is a far superior defender than Bernard. All I can say about Bernard is that he looked the best of an ordinary bunch of new boys yesterday. He was OK but that's it.
I didn’t say he couldn’t cross I said it was pointless rushing forward putting in the same cross to Magennis particularly , when two very good experienced backs as against Derby were there. It was a waste . Saturday it was a counter attack where the defence wasn’t set and we attacked at pace - it was a mobile midfielder who got there! Coyle should not just cross the same shape ball —-use his brain to decide when and howDoc - at the heart of everything good - in both halves of the pitch.
Bernard - assured on the ball throughout - oozes class.
Ingram - dicey clearances at times but stopped 3.
Special mentions:
Coyle - whoever said he can't cross is talking ****e.
Hudds - brought a calmness we've lacked.
KLP - stayed in touch with his fullback and stopped the overload down their right as well as contributing going forward - if a little less decisive on the front foot.
Mm. All about opinions of course but Jones really struggled against Derby, and Bernard has to me looked the best of our 3 CBs so far this season. More assured than Greaves too.Jones is a far superior defender than Bernard. All I can say about Bernard is that he looked the best of an ordinary bunch of new boys yesterday. He was OK but that's it.
